Do you have a Disney Cruise Line voyage booked for the fall months? If so, then you are going to start hearing about Halloween on the High Seas! If not, it’s not too late to book a quick getaway for this September or October to enjoy this special event, or even book one for 2016! Disney Cruise Line makes the holidays special, and Halloween is no exception! But if you haven’t cruised Disney Cruise Line before, or at least not over Halloween, you’ll want to learn all about Halloween on the High Seas so you are prepared!
Are there only certain dates and ships for Halloween on the High Seas? All 4 ships in the Disney Cruise Line fleet celebrate Halloween on the High Seas. Whether you are sailing on the Disney Magic, Disney Dream, Disney Wonder, or Disney Fantasy, you won’t miss out! The Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy celebrate Halloween on the High Seas beginning September 5th, though October 31st sailings. If you are on the Wonder or Magic, you will be celebrating beginning October 1, through October 28, depending on your itinerary.
Can we trick or treat onboard? Yes, and that’s not all! Not only can you trick or treat onboard. But, there is also pumpkin carving, a costume contest, and mask making. All that extra Halloween fun onboard Disney Cruise Line will give everyone in your family something fun to do!
What fun activities can my family expect on our September or October cruise? First, you will get to experience the Mickey’s Mouse-querade Party. This takes place in the atrium, and is in addition to Pirate Night. There are games, dancing, meeting Disney characters, and trick or treating. Second there is Tim Burton’s the Nightmare Before Christmas Sing and Scream. This is an interactive move experience, and you even get to meet Jack and Sally! On deck you’ll find Haunted Stories of the Sea, if you need a little spooky storytelling on the ship!
Are the Halloween activities on the ships popular? Yes, very much so! All the families are getting into the Halloween spirit! One tip is to check your Navigator everyday to see when and where the daily Halloween activities are taking place. Then, be sure to arrive early for them. Mickey’s Mouse-Querade is very popular, and usually takes place on Deck 3. If you are not going to the party, be sure to hang out on Decks 4 and 5.
Is it too late to book my September or October sailing for Halloween on the High Seas? Absolutely not! Staterooms are available for September and October sailings, both in 2015 and 2016. So if you are up for a last minute cruise, awesome! If you would like to book for 2016, those itineraries can be priced currently as well. For a deposit of roughly 20% of your cruise fare, you can secure a stateroom on a Disney Cruise Line ship for next year’s Halloween on the High Seas!
