This Hidden Mickey comes to us from Tish:
On Veteran’s Day I had visited the website of the D-Day Memorial that is in Bedford, VA. I had visited there several years ago and it is an amazing memorial and such a wonderful tribute to those who have done so much for our country. Bedford lost more residents per capita in the Normandy landings than any other American community. Nineteen soldiers from Bedford, whose 1944 population was about 3,200, were killed on D-Day. Three other Bedford soldiers died later in the Normandy campaign. Proportionally this community suffered the nation’s severest D-Day losses which is why this town was chosen as the site for the Memorial. As I was looking through the gallery of pictures a hidden mickey jumped right out at me. This is an aerial view of the memorial and it just makes me smile to see a little bit of accidental Disney magic in such a special place.
