Hot Milk Cake Recipe
Hot Milk Cake is deliciously moist, dense and slightly sweeter than pound cake. This cake is great to serve as is with some hot tea for brunch or dress it up with some whipped cream and strawberries for dessert. This recipe is slightly different because it calls for almond extract which gives the cake a unique nutty flavor. It can be made quickly with ingredients you probably already have on hand.
Ingredients
1 cup milk
4 eggs
2 cups of sugar
1 tsp almond extract
2 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 stick of butter
Preheat oven to 350 degrees, grease and flour a bunt pan. In a medium saucepan heat butter and milk, keep hot but do not boil. Beat the eggs and gradually add sugar and almond extract. In a separate bowl mix your dry ingredients, slowly add to the butter mixture until evenly mixed. Pour in the hot milk and butter stir to combine. Empty the mixture into your bunt pan and bake for 1 hour. Allow pan to cool before flipping the cake out of the pan. Enjoy!
