One of the best times of week to visit Disney World is during the week day. Disney considers Sunday-Thursday the slower times of the week. During these weekdays, you can take advantage of slower crowds at the Disney Parks and you can take advantage of discounts. One of these discounts is called a pin promotion.
A pin promotion is considered a special discount that is emailed or mailed to customers. The pin promotions can only be used for the customer that is on the email or letter/postcard. Unfortunately, you cannot give this to someone else. If you received a pin promotion by email or in the mail, you can take advantage of some of the best discounts that Disney offers customers.
So the big question…how do I get a pin promotion? These promotions are completely random. You cannot request one. It is randomly sent out to guests that have signed up for one of Disney’s email lists.
- Request your copy of the Disney Vacation DVD
- Create your own Disney Customized Maps
- Create an account at Disney.com and saving your family’s information and vacation dates.
- Follow these tips from ChipandCo.com
If you already have signed up for a Disney list, watch your email including your spam. The latest discount is for guests traveling during this slower time period from Sunday-Thursday during the dates of August 4-29. The rates are some of the lowest prices you will find at the Disney Resort hotels including:
- Disney Value Resorts – $105 per night plus tax
- Disney Moderate Resorts – $175 per night plus tax
- Disney Deluxe Resorts – $289 per night plus tax
You can even combine these discounts into a package with tickets and dining for additional value. we have gotten PIN codes numerous times via both snail mail and email in the past! then, somehow, my name got changed to julie lindville through disney, and we will no longer be able to use any promos sent to our email that is attached to my name. i have called disney numerous times about this problem and tried to explain to them that my last name is NOT lindville, but they have continued to tell me that we can’t use the codes because the last names don’t match up. i have since had my husband set up accounts through disney in the hopes of getting a PIN again. we were fortunate enough to use a PIN we received via snail mail back in 2010, and enjoyed some great savings! they really do exist, just make sure your info is exact! the mystery of my name getting changed still exists!

Sadly, I wouldn’t know what one looks like if it hit me in the face. :( I’ve done all of the aforementioned things and have never received a code that I know of. I have received mailings from Disney personalized with our names on it, but no codes that I know of. I recently received a promotional DVD for DCL, personalized with our name on it, and it even gave me a special web page containing my name in the URL to book a cruise through and it wasn’t any cheaper. I even called DCL to ask about it and nope, not a code at all. Bummer. :(
