One thing Walt Disney World and Disneyland have in common is good food, but dining at Disney has a reputation for being pricey. The good news is that portions are usually reasonable and in most cases large. When you walk away from dinner, your tummy will be full even if your wallet is significantly lighter.
Here is today’s quick and easy tip to saving money in the Disney theme parks.
Ziploc bags
Slip a couple small Ziploc bags in your purse or backpack and have them ready for when the meal is over.
Children have little tummies and frequently don’t finish a meal, but then they are hungry twenty minutes later, just about the time you pass a snack cart in the theme parks. Leftovers you have already paid for make perfect snacks for later. Fruit is an option for kid’s meals, and it travels great in Ziploc bags.
Adults frequently do not finish their meals either, and snacking on those leftovers can keep you from over-spending when you hadn’t planned on buying a snack. $2.95 on a drink here, $5.00 for popcorn there adds up after a while, especially just after you didn’t even finish your last meal. You might want to save that snack money for a special dessert at the end of your Disney day.
Ziplocs are also good for carrying things in your bag that you want to keep separated from everything else, like batteries or memory sticks for your camera, and they keep valuables dry on splashy rides.
If I have to eat part of a previously unfinished meal to enjoy one of these Disney snacks, then count me in. My favorite snack? Check it out!
Thanks for stopping by Couponing to Disney for a quick money saving tip. Keep clipping those coupons and dreaming Disney.

While I agree saving money is the best when you can do it. Keep I mind the food that you are zip locking my not be suitable to eat an hour or so later. I wouldn’t recommend saving chic nuggets, yogurts or half a burger, but fruit and packaged snacks would be great. Also use caution, we saved a banana from brkfst one time and by the time my son took it out to eat it was more like puree.
