How important is the size of your Walt Disney World resort room? This is one of the many factors you must consider when deciding what Disney resort you will book for your next trip.
Values – The price tag on the values is the best in all of Walt Disney World, but the room size can be a turn off. Most value resort rooms are 260 square feet. They come with 2 full size beds, a table with 2 chairs and a separate vanity area from the toilet/tub.
Moderate – The moderate rooms are mid-level on price and are a bit bigger than the value rooms. The rooms at Port Orleans Riverside are 314 square feet and the rooms at Caribbean Beach are 300 square feet. Most moderate rooms come with two queen beds, a table and 2 chairs and a separate vanity area from the toilet/tub. Some rooms come with an additional murphy bed.
Deluxe – The deluxe rooms are higher priced but they are the largest rooms on property. The rooms at the Polynesian Village Resort are 415 square feet and the rooms at Wilderness Lodge are 344 square feet. Most deluxe rooms come with two queen beds, a table and 2 chairs and a separate vanity area from the toilet/tub. Some rooms come with an additional murphy bed.
Questions to ask yourself about the value resorts:
- How many people will be staying in your room? If you have a family of 4, are you willing to trip over one another to stay in a value resort?
- How much stuff are you bringing? Can you get creative with storing your items if you stay in a value resort? They have 3 drawers and a closet area.
- How much time will you spend in the room? If you just need a place to lay your head and shower, is the value a good choice for your family?
- Do you have a baby under 3? Their pack ‘n play will fit right by the adjoining door between the rooms. Need the adjoining door? Are you willing to give up either access to the outside door of the room or cram the bed near the sink and potentially give up bathroom access in the room?
If you answered no to any of those questions, you might need to move to a moderate or a deluxe resort.
