Mashed potatoes are such a kid friendly food and easy to make. This recipe comes from my friend Tammy. I love how she makes her potatoes because she doesn’t peel them (saves lots of time!). This is a good way to get kids involved in cooking, too. They love to help “mash”
- 3 pounds boiling potatoes, peeled
- 1½ cups milk
- 6 tablespoons butter
- ½ cup sour cream
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- Dice potatoes into small chunks and boil until fork tender.
- Drain potatoes and put into large bowl.
- Add milk, butter, sour cream, salt, and pepper. Mash and combine all ingredients together.
- Serve while hot.
