We are heading to Downtown Disney to browse. We just finished unpacking and settling in. We brought a fridge with us since they charge $10 a day. Ewwww. Will check in later!!!

Pop Century has no fridges or coffee makers in the room. If you don’t have a fridge, bring a cooler and fill it up with ice often. It’ll work just as well for keeping things cool. :)
Kristin from Couponing to Disney says
Nope. And who cares really?? It’s just you being smarter then the other guests because you did your research ahead of time. :)

I was really surprised the Disneyland Hotel rooms came with a fridge but no coffee maker. I was really disappointed that I couldn’t make my oatmeal or hot tea in the morning. :( They did have complimentary coffee in the lobby each morning until 9 so that helped a little.

My husband and I stayed at the Pop in 2008. When we arrived in our room, we already had a fridge. The best thing, they never charged us for the fridge during our whole trip!!! However, I think on our next trip I’ll take our own fridge, as I have a small one from my classroom!

I was going to mention the fridge swap, too! Check the DISboards. I understand there are a lot of people on there who do them.

Thanks for the post…. Now I’ve got to head out to the van to see if we have room for a mini-fridge. We leave in 3 weeks!
Keep it up, please…

I’m glad you noted about the fridge. We would fly, so flying down a fridge would not work…but it would be an extra $10.00 a day that I wouldn’t think to budget for the money needed for the trip (when we go).

We bought a fridge down there once and ended up shipping it home since my then ‘tween son wanted it for his room and it was inexpensive to do so. I’ve since learned that on the various fanboards you can find ‘fridge swaps’ where guests pass them along at the end of their trip.

I just asked Husband if he would let me take a fridge to Disney. He laughed and said, “Yes”. Ever since I’ve started saving money on groceries, I’ve noticed that it’s easier for him to say yes to silly things and save.

Are you going to eat at DTD? Geez, I am getting WAY to into this vacation, but this is the next best thing to being there. hahahaha

Awesome idea to bring your own fridge! We always fly, so not really an option. Although, we have shipped food ahead when we stayed at a rental house. Anyway, have fun Downtown!

Did you get any strange looks for taking your own mini-fridge? We have one and I keep trying to tell my husband that it is perfectly normal to take our own and save $10/day, but he won’t go for it! (gotta have some help here!) lol
