If you need a great way to hold your wrapping paper rolls together so that it doesn’t become crinkly and messed up, try using hair ties that have become overstretched and can no longer be used for your hair.

I save the Sunday comics to be used as wrapping paper, too. It’s my kids’ favorite “wrapping paper”!
Another tip regarding gift wrap – buy cheap gift wrap at after Christmas sales that are plain or general enough to use year round for birthday gifts, wedding gifts, shower gifts. For instance, buy plain blue or red paper for birthdays, gold or silver for wedding gifts, white or silver for baby shower gifts. You get the idea. Same goes for gift bags. Plus, don’t forget you can recycle gift bags too.
I always roll up my paper and use scrunchies too. They don’t rip the paper like rubber bands or tape.
I use my mom’s antique low-boy dresser as a wrapping paper station. Rolls fit in the 2 long bottom drawers, flat paper in the medium drawers, and ribbons/bows/tags/tape/scissors fit in the small drawers. I use the shallow lingerie drawers to hold tissue paper & flattened gift bags. We’re always ready to go! And the dresser top is a perfect surface for wrapping the gifts!
I buy Christmas stuff all year presents etc. I store them in our luggage that is under my bed. The kids have no idea they are there and when we go on vacation, I just make sure we only pack the empty ones!
I store my large tubes of wrapping paper under my bed. No damage or wrinkles! :)
