What do you do with those tiny pieces of soap that are hard to use?
This tip comes from my reader Heather…
You can also use the toe of an old pair of pantyhose to put the soap chips in. Works great, and saves money and frustration chasing them around the tub!

Oooh, that would be a great price. Thanks! :)

You can melt them over low heat with a little water and make liquid hand soap also. We use it to refill the Lysol Automatic Dispenser bottles. Those refills are expensive!!!
Lillian says
Misty how do you fill the lysol automatic dispenser bottles? I have one of these and love it for the convenience but hate the smell of the soap and it dries my hands out terribly. And they’re crazy expensive!!
Would love to be able to refill with soap I like and don’t have to spend a fortune on!

Left over soap can be used to make laundry detergent. Use the equivalent of one bar of soap, some washing soda and borax. The recipe can be found at the Duggar family’s website. I do the gel form of the detergent and LOVE it. :)

The Duggar’s have so many great things on their site. :)
