Reader Renee uses cloth napkins to save money – plus she found them on CLEARANCE!
We use cloth napkins⦠I bought some both this year and last year on clearance after Christmas. They are solid green and solid ivory, not even Christmas prints, so we use them all the time. Much cheaper to throw in the wash than to keep buying napkins.
Don’t forget, I’m always looking for your best money saving tip, so please share!

My mother has used cloth napkins for years! We have even done inexpensive dish cloths from the dollar store. She is also thrift store savy and has bought several over the years at these stores. She found us some plaid ones with an L (for our last name) embroderied on them! Her thriftiness has passed down to my kids who are more used to cloth than paper napkins!
Just this past weekend, my husband suggested we use cloth napkins instead of paper ones! I actually had some already (they were included in a set with placemats… we’ve used the placemats for years, but never thought to use the napkins)
My family uses wash clothes fro napkins. you can get packs of 20 for $5 at Walmart and have lasted us a long time! It is nice not having the added expense of paper napkins, not to mentions cutting back on waste!
I was at my JoAnn Fabric yesterday and they had a small rack of Easter stuff and it was 75% off. They had two 4-packs of plain ivory colored cloth napkins on that shelf. They were originally $10 each pack but I got them both packs for $5 total. I thought that was well worth it, they’re great quality and they’ll look great whenever I decide to use them.
I bought Easter blue ones from Kohls as well. They were on a special, plus I had a 30% off coupon, making them cheap. These had embossed flowers in the same blue color on them. Very pretty. My family loved them.
This is also a good time to stock up on fancy fabric table cloths. After Christmas they always have really pretty ivory, red or green ones on clearance.
