My mom puts a quarter in a jar every time she does a load of laundry. Over the years, this adds up. when her washer dies, she will have probably enough saved up to buy a new one without dipping into her regular savings.

This is an awesome idea….don’t know why I never thought of it. I hate going to the laundry mat and when I was able to wash clothes at home you forget all about the costs associated, but if you were to drop quarters in a jar like you were at a laundry mat, it would really add up!
