We have a large Tupperware container in the freezer that I put an extra veggies after dinner in or if I needjust half an onion I’ll cut up the rest and put it in there. Then, when the bowl gets substantial enough we have stew, with or without meat.

We re-use plastic Miracle Whip jars to do this. We also have one for leftover broth & pan drippings to flavor the soups with.
