This tip comes from my reader Sarah….
I save money on hand soap by buying the Dial Complete Foaming pumps for all our batrooms. Instead of refilling them with the Dial refill soap, I put several drops of dish soap in and fill it back up with water. It still foams and uses a lot less soap (plus several drops of dish soap is much cheaper than a Softsoap or even Equate refill bottle)!

gonna try this the next time mine goes empty!
I ‘splurge’ and buy the antibacterial soap that smells really nice at big lots (hence I said splurge). I use 1 part soap to 2 parts water in my foam pump and makes that soap go further and still smells great!
What a great tip! I love the Method foaming hand soaps but they are sooooo expensive. I bought a big refill bag of regular Method hand soap. I dilute this with water in the foaming dispenser and it works just great. We have been using the same bag for over a year and I still get the Method scent that I love.
I use $1 off any size coupons to buy trial sizes of soap and shampoo. I often get them for free. Then I use a little bit to refill our foam pump. It usually costs me absolutely nothing.
Great tips! I use babywash to refill mine. I don’t even have babies anymore! I just love the smell (reminds me of my babies when they were babies)!
I do this too ! And there are many times that you can get Dawn with Olay for less that 99 cents at CVS ! or if you’re a germ-a-phob you can get antibacterial dish soap too… last such a long time and way cheap !
