This info comes from my friend Christie who we refer to as the Birmingham Bargain Mom. She has come up with 15 different uses for bread bags (yes the bag your bread comes in from the store). Here’s my favorites:
- If you are going on a picnic, make the sandwiches and then put them back in the bread bag to transport.
- If you need to grease a pan, flip the bag inside out and put your hand in it like a glove. Then stick your hand in butter and smear over the pan. Throw away when finished.
- If you need to slowly water a potted plant, you can fill the bag up with water, tie a knot at the top, poke a hole in the button with a safety pin and place on top of the soil.

You also made me think of my grandmother(who just recently passed away) She kept a whole pantry closet full of bread bags, twiat ties, all sorts of goofy stuff. Now maybe there was a reason behind what we thought was just goofy!!

That would be twist ties…lol

This made me remember when my grandmother would make everyone zucchini bread and wrap it in old bread bags. I hadn’t thought of that in forever. Thanks Kristin!
