As with many things this year, Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade as we know it is cancelled for 2020. Also not returning for this year is the Rockettes’ Radio City Christmas Spectacular.
While Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade has been cancelled, the mayor of New York City, Bill de Blasio gave us all a glimmer of hope by announcing they are reinventing the event. There will be no live parade, however the spirit of the day will still be celebrated.
For nearly 90 years The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade has been a beloved yearly staple to kick off the holiday season. Details for the reimagined Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade will be announced later in the fall. I can not wait to hear what they come up with!

I get that we are still dealing with this global pandemic, but they could still look at doing something – maybe no live audience in the streets, have the performers spaced out – something.
