Such a fun interactive ride….my sons favorite!
Love this ride. Got right in line whenwe were there. Had chance to get fastpasses after we rode it but husband decided needed to get fastpasses for Star Tours, won’t make that mistake again.
I can’t see in 3d but this is my favorite. We love this ride, its so much fun and I could ride it all day long LOL My first time on it the glass breaking and “flying” at your freaked me out a bit. My mom who has never been one to ride any rides LOVES this ride, it was so much fun getting to go with her :)

How long was the wait later in the day. We rode immediately, then got a Fast Pass. True that put us out of fast pass contention for a while but it was worth it for us.
20th in line is awesome! We were lucky enough last time to walk right on. We got there right before rope drop. There was a senior cast member standing up front to guide people right to TSM.
We were at Hollywood studios on Dec. 30th, and our plan was to go straight Toy Story Mania, however we got sidetracked by Minne, Donald, and Daisy because there was not a line to see them. We got to TSM and there was a 50min. wait and it was 8:15. We still rode the ride and loved it. Enjoy!!!!
We also did the mad dash for Toy Story Mania. The lines are just crazy for this one. But it really is awesome.

Good job. We did that dash last year in the rain but still got in quickly. Getting my running shoes ready for June.
Way to go! 20th is impressive :o) That is our favorite ride at Hollywood Studios. Hope you were able to get Fast Passes to come back later and ride it again.

I couldn’t figure out why it was so easy getting on Tower of Terror when the place opened. Then I learned that it was because everyone was off getting fast passes for the Toy Story Mania ride.
how cool! i heard mr. potato head takes a “body part” off and puts it back! funny!
It always makes my husband’s day when we make it for rope drop at any of the parks. We were able to do it much more easily when our kids were young. With teens, not so much! But the late nights are more fun.
That’s the wildest rope drop of all! We send our fastest walker to be at the rope and ready to get fastpasses. We follow quickly and get in the standby line. We are usually finished riding by 9:45 and have a fp for later.

TSM is so cool! We went to Disneyland in June and went on TSM for the first time ever. We headed straight there when California Adventures opened along with everyone else. The line looked long but it went pretty fast. The fast pass system is not used for TSM at CA so everyone is in the same line. We loved the ride so much, we immediately got back in line after we came off the first time. We still talk about the ride and can’t wait to go back on it on our next trip. So much fun!
That is our favorite ride. We do the same thing as everyone else, send hubby to get fatspasses while me and the boys wait in line. The first day we got there, we had a late start and got FP at 11:00 to return at 6:15. CRAZY!! The next time we went to HS we knew to get to that ride right away. Boy only 20 people ahead of you is great! Have fun!!

We were completely surprised by the “mad dash” but we did it! Sent hubby ahead to grab fast passes for the troops and then we caught up to him. We still were 2 hours into the fast passes! We were there at the rope drop too! INSANE!!!!

We waited well over two hours for Toy Story Mania and it was well worth the wait!
That’s always our drill! The hubby runs ahead to grab FP’s and then we hop right into the standby line…that way we are for sure to get two chances to ride during the day!

That’s awesome, I hope you grabbed your fast pass first. When we went they were all gone with in the first 2 hours of the park opening!

When we went in October 2010, the wait when we used our fastpasses was 2 1/2 hours. You must get fastpass early for this ride.
Do you know if that’s the same one that was at Magic Kingdom? We didn’t get a chance to ride it when we were at Magic Kingdom. We rode it for the first time at Hollywood Studios — so fun! I could have ridden it over and over — too long of a wait though. Great start to your day : )
They are not the same rides. The ride at the MK is Buzz Lightyears Space Ranger spin. It has a different concept and game. Space Ranger spin is a laser shooting game at “Z” Zurg targets.
We missed it at California Adventure in November when we were there…we were so bummed. There is no fast pass and we couldn’t stand the though of waiting for 90 min. with 2 small children.
We love this ride, too. When it’s Hollywood Studios day we get up very early so we can get fast passes for later and hop in line before it gets too long. Hope you have a great day! And get a high score. :)
We loved this ride! I sent my husband as the “Runner” to get fast passes and we got in line. So much fun to be able to go back and ride with a fast pass, skipping the 2 hour wait time! :) Enjoy!
That is so awesome you got to be at the front! This is one we’ve only ridden once each time we’ve been because of the super long lines :( I’d be willing to wait for it, but it’s hard to wait 1.5 hours with toddlers! Have a great day at my second favorite park!!

Where is Toy Story Mania? Is that still Magic Kingdom? I don’t remember seeing that when I went in 2009.

We love this ride! You are so lucky…we are lucky just getting inside the building for the wait. The good thing about this ride is that it does has a fast turn around so the line is always moving forward.
This was our favorite ride!
We missed this ride we were to late getting there and the wait was too long.
One of our favs and somehow we always end up behind the slowest people in the mod heading that way.
By the way, Mr. Potato Head’s eyes are freaking out my little guy :)

Where in Hollywood Studios is this ride? I need to know so I can run to grab our fast passes! I think I’m taking my middle guy to rope drop and my husband and big guy and littlest will join us later. I’ll take their tickets so I can get the fast passes, and he can call me when they’re at the gate. They’re later risers and I sooo don’t want to miss this!
Just follow the crowd because that is where everyone else will be headed too! lol Stay to the right hand side as you enter the park and wait for rope drop. You will want to head past Sunset Blvd and then hang a right and go through the Disney Studio arch that leads towards Little Mermaid. Once through the arch you go left down past Walt Disney One Man’s Dream. It is just before where Who Wants to Be a Millionaire used to be. Enjoy!
That is my absolute favorite! I even bought one for my Wii (but it’s not quite the same atmosphere!)
We did the mad dash at park opening and still only got Fast Passes for 10:45am. We had to choose- wait in line right then to ride (and there were a lot of people ahead of us), or wait in a shorter line for Fast Passes and ride it later. If we rode it and then got Fast Passes, we wouldn’t be able to get Fast Passes for other rides until the afternoon! But we love this ride!
Oh, the fastpass shuffle! We play this game, too. My husband (and now oldest son, age 22) is the master of this game. Hehe.
One of the best reasons to go to Hollywood Studios!! We love this ride.

i LOVE that ride. DHS needs some more rides though… maybe that will help reduce the lines at Toy Story Mania! that park seems to have more restaurants than rides imo!

The stuff on the line is half the fun! I’m exhausted just keeping up with your trip-you r gonna need a vacation after your vacation to recooperate.
I’ve only been to disney once, and that was last year…we never got to ride it. I’m hoping we can go again this year or next, and i will stand in line no matter how long the line is. I would love to see pictures from the queue line
I LOVE that ride!! The lines are always sooo long we try to get a fastpass… When we were there this past November we didn’t even ge to do that ;(
