This is one of the cutest parties I have ever seen! You really can feel Disney world just by looking at the pictures. CouponingtoDisney.com reader Stephanie shared pictures and ideas from her daughter’s Magic Kingdom themed party with me to share with all of you.
I wanted to share the birthday party I put together for my daughter, Genevieve, who turned three over the weekend. Our first trip to Disney World will be in May of 2017, but I wanted to bring Disney World to her a little early so our theme was the Magic Kingdom. My
mom and I created everything ourselves and spent the last two months paying close attention to all the details to make sure we threw the
Magic Kingdom party of a lifetime.
For the invitations, I recreated an original Magic Kingdom ticket book. The pages consisted of all the info for her party, directions with a hand drawn map and even a ticket for parking. A sign at the front gate directed guests to each land of the party. I also had a table set up where guests could grab a map and make a fan, we are in south Texas so it’s 90 degrees here before 10 am, and also sign an autograph book for Genevieve to keep.
Next, guests could find activities in either Frontierland, Adventureland, Tomorrowland, Fantasyland or Main Street U.S.A. In Frontierland I grabbed huge boxes from local stores that they were throwing out and created a little old west for the kids to play in. In Adventureland you could walk the plank with pirates or dig for buried treasure.
The Claw game in Tomorrowland was filled with stuffed animals for the kids to keep. In Fantasyland, the guests created their own pixie dust sand art and could also grab a book and read in the green and white teepee. Then you were transported into Alice in Wonderland where you could grab a flamingo mallet and play a game of croquet! The Magic Kingdom is not complete without a ride on a carousel so each guest got a turn on our beautiful painted carousel.
Main Street U.S.A had all the fantastic treats including wagon wheel pasta, pirate cheese and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train Cupcakes. Each child received a goodie bag which contained hand made lanyards and two pins which they could trade with each other or trade with the pin board that I created.
My daughter even wore the shirt that I got on my first trip to Disney World in 1987! I love that my daughter shares my love for Disney and I can’t wait to take Genevieve on her first trip. This party was made possible by making everything ourselves and keeping the costs down and I think our guests had a great time and appreciated the party even more! I think we all have a great connection with one another and I want to thank everyone for being a part of my Disney Family!
Thank you so much for letting me share my party with you and your readers! Without the savers group there is no way we could have made
this party possible and also our first trip coming up in May which will be a ten day experience at the Wilderness Lodge! Couponing to
Disney has changed my life!
Can you tell me where you got all of the stuff for the party? This article is really useful it would be a even more useful if we knew where to buy everyone from!
I love that. For my twin daughters 6th birthday I threw a Disneyland party for them. (they are now 22) We had so much fun planning that party. I will have to try and find pictures.
