A Magical Moment at Disney is when something extremely amazing happens to you or your family. This Magical Moment can include being given an extra FASTPASS, experiencing an incredible Meet and Greet with a character, being sprinkled with Pixie Dust, etc. If you have had a Magical Moment at Disney, I want to hear about it!
Our most Magical Moment happened on our May 2010 trip. We were on the last day of the trip and we were having a rough morning. We were late getting to the Magic Kingdom, I tripped and fell and brought Emily down with me (luckily we were fine) and it was getting so crowded! We were rushing to ride the Tomorrowland Speedway when Alice came skipping up to us and asked us if the kids could ride with her and the White Rabbit in the tea cups. Of course we agreed and I made a movie of it!
I am not sure if she still rides with a child each morning. You just have to be in the right place at the right time to be chosen.
Please share one of your Magical Moments at Disney.
COn our last morning at DW, we still had not had a picture taken with Mickey. We were determined to Mickey, without having to wait an hour. When the park opened, we were happy to find we were the 3rd in line! Well, out comes Minnie and pulls my daughter out of line and takes her back with her bc she is dressed like Minnie! Mickey and Minnie danced and played with her for nearly ten minutes, which is so awsome since they are always so busy! So not only did we not have to wait forever on our last day, but we were first! She has her signed magical moment card framed with her picture with Mickey and Minnie!
Our magical moment was when we visited Magic Kingdom just this July. Our family got chosen to open the park. We rode inside the park on a steam engine, where the driver drove us to Cinderella’s castle and took our family photos. Then we went to meet the mayor of Magic Kingdom and await the characters as they arrived on the train. We were on the platform right next to Mickey! They gave us four fast passes to meet Mickey at the Kodak Theatre and a free 5 x 7 photo of our choice. Not to mention that they took our pics with the dancers and mayor. Once in a lifetime! And it was my and my two kids’ first trip. It won’t be our last, that’s for sure!
As for opening the park, we arrived at Magic Kingdom by 7:20 AM even though it didn’t open until 9am that morning. Early birds definitely get the worm because we were so far up in the line, I am sure this is why we were picked. And instead of waiting outside with everyone else, we were opening the park:)
that was such a sweet video! OMG :)
2008 I think…it was Christmas Eve at MK and it was crowded!!! Overwhelmed with three kids we were ready to head back o the pool when a cast member walked up to us and said we won magical fast passes! It was a lanyard that had about ten fast pass tabs on it to all the best rides at MK! We had a blast surpassing the crowds!
My Disney magical moment was on my birthday, the year the park ticket was free on your birthday. It was great getting wished a “happy birthday” throughout the day because I was wearing the birthday pin. I’d been to Disney before on my birthday and didn’t know about the birthday pin then.
The magical moment was getting picked as an extra for the Indiana Jones show. It was such a memorable experience! It was made even more special when across the park at Toy Story Mania a little girl recognized me from being on stage :). I felt like such a star ;)
While visiting Animal Kingdom last year, we went to one of the restaurants for lunch. My husband stood in line for food while my 3-year-old son and I got a table. My son started having a meltdown and out of nowhere a cast member appeared with 2 cupcakes! The tears stopped like magic.
That’s so awesome!
Our Magic moment came during our last trip when we were entering Hollywood Studios. A young lady was leaving and we passed each other by the bag check area and she asked me if we were staying for a while and if we were, if we’d like 2 FastPasses to Toy Story Mania! We all know that attraction is typically insanely crowded. It was so bad the time before that we were unable to go on the ride. My daughter was a huge Toy Story fan at the time and she was so disappointed. We were going to try the second time, but wasn’t sure it was going to happen. So while Disney’s characters and cast members weren’t the ones responsible for our Magic moment, a total stranger, no doubt hit with a dose of fairy dust gave us a very Magical moment.
my dh went to get a fast pass for the jungle cruise on NY Eve. he came back with fast passes to jungle cruise, splash mountain, big thunder railroad, peter pan, space mountain and a few more – they were having problems with the crowds and cm were just handing them out at every fast pass machine without making you put in your park ticket. We rode rides all day whooooo with no lines using our fast pass bonanza! on the same trip we got our hotel upgraded to a three room suite because they had oversold the rooms and the room we were originally assigned reeked of cigarettes (at a non smoking hotel) so they had to move us.
Our magical moment was quite a bit different than what you are talking about, but it is totally representative of Disney values. We were just in WDW last month. It was a wonderful trip! On our last day, we were spending time at Disney Quest before leaving for the airport. We had been playing quite a few of the games on many different floors when my 13-year-old daughter realized she no longer had her backpack and probably had not seen it for at least an hour. The backpack had her “entire life” in it – phone, iPod, etc. She was close to hysterics. We retraced our steps but no sign of the backpack. The Disney personnel were extremely encouraging, however, and kept directing us to Guest Services on the ground floor. Sure enough, they had the backpack and every single item was still inside. It was magical, and I don’t think it would be likely to happen that way in many other tourist areas. I sent Disney a heartfelt thank you for their amazing employees.
