The Maharajah Jungle Trek in Animal Kingdom is located in the mystical Anandapur Royal Forest. These area was originally a private hunting ground for a wealth maharajah, but upon his death it was turned into a nature preserve by his brother which he gave to the villagers of Anandapur who now live in harmony with the animals located in this preserve. Throughout this self-guided tour, you’ll encounter animals that call the ruins left from the Maharajah rule their home and learn about the conservation efforts to save these species. You might be lucky enough to spot Komodo Dragons, Asian Tigers, Banteng and over 50 different species of birds.
