Not only is water healthier for your body than other beverages, it can also help you save a lot of money. Write down how much you spend a month on soda, juice, tea, etc. Your beverage expenses could be standing between you and your Disney vacation!
Here are 5 tips on how to drink more water:
- Drink your water from a Disney cup. The Disney Store carries a number of cute tumblers or you could always make your own by drawing a Mickey Mouse head on a clear cup.
- Drink your water from a champagne flute, wine glass, or other fancy stemware. You can also pick up plastic versions for the kids at the party store.
- Add fresh fruit, herbs, or a cucumber. Strawberry and mint water is the best.
- Drink your water from a dark plastic cup with a straw. If you can’t see through the cup you won’t feel discouraged at how much water you still have left to drink.
- Flavor your water with a splash of grape or cranberry juice. It is healthier and cheaper than the flavor packets sold at the grocery store.

- I like to drink my 64 ounces from a large plastic cup with a straw. Preferably a fun Starbucks recycle, or even Tim Hortons. I seem to get more down regularly with a straw. If I get bored I put 2 or 3 ounces of grape juice or cranberry juice in for flavor. It’s Lots cheaper than flavored waters etc. – Lisa

- I buy the True Lemon, Lime, Orange and lemonade packets to in water. They are all natural and sugar free. Each packet is equal to 1 lemon wedge. They taste great and the good part about them is that my children like them as well, so it helps getting them to drink more water. – Leanne

- I find I drink more water when i put it into a reusable water bottle…and that way I know how much water I have consumed. On days when water is really unappealing and I am craving soda, I drink sparkling water instead (either flavored or not) and the carbonation tricks me into thinking I am drinking something bad!! – Rebecca
