As of May 18th Merida is out at Disney! She can be found in front of It’s a Small World at Disneyland (which is where this meet and greet took place) or at Fairytale Garden (where Rapunzel used to meet) at the Magic Kingdom in Disney World. (You can now find Rapunzel at Town Square with the Princesses.)
Along with Merida, you will be able to meet the 3 bear cubs from Brave as well. They interact with Merida and play hide and go seek with her and those that come to meet them.
There are also lots of activities you can do to celebrate Brave starting in Theatres June 22nd.
The first thing you can do after meeting Merida is learn to Shoot Arrows at the archery center. This is a place with a large center and blunt arrows. The arrows are specially made to stay on the wire very easily and the cast members are very helpful to help each kid do their best.
The next place you can go is to find your clan. They have a wheel with the clan symbols on it. The worker tells you what you need to do to get the sword spinning. then where it lands tells you the clan you belong too.
You then take your clan name over to the rubbing station and make a rubbing of your clan leader to take home with you.
Then you head over to the training station where you learn to toss cakes like a real scotsman.
It was so fun! we had a blast doing each of these things and experiencing the fun of Scotland! The kids love telling me about meeting her every time the commercial for Brave comes on.
This Disneyland training article was written by my friend Melissa. Melissa is a Wife and Mother of 3 (ages 5, 3, and 1). Her family lives 10 minutes from Disneyland and visit the magical park at least 1 a week! She also blogs over at Living A Frugal Life about how to have a frugal life while still having a rich family life. She loves DIY projects, cooking from scratch, saving money and spending time with her little family!
Disneyland is the Happiest Place On Earth. Be sure to learn how to make the most of your trip by reading the Disneyland Training series. Can I send Merida a fan letter and will she ever send me her autograph?
Is there any way I can find out a list of all the characters that will be in Walt Disney World in August. We want to make a autograph book with each characters picture next to the autograph.
