As much as we try to “be good” and eat at home, there are times when fast food is necessary, or just wanted. That’s why we have a dining out line in our budget, after all.
So when you splurge and need that greasy fix, be sure to keep any extras napkins, ketchup or sauces and use them at home! The napkins pull double duty for us as car tissues. We’re fancy, y’all.
My daughter loves when we have an extra Chick-fil-a sauce and she can use it with her less fancy at-home nuggets.
Now, I’m not saying go in and load your pockets with ketchup, or take half a sleeve of napkins. However, often if we ask for ketchup we are given a handful! I’d rather take that home and use it, stretching our own ketchup farther, than toss it in the trash.
This is a small savings tip, but it’s easy too- and pennies make dollars! Do you keep your extras to use around your home?
