2 years ago while at WDW we were there with my mother in law myself, husband and three kids, while we were there itwas my birthday and my oldest sons, my lovely husband had surprises plannd all throughtout the week, We arrived back to our room one day to have the same picture signed by mickey and another with several other characters pictres and signatures it was displayed one in each room, ( we had adjoiningrooms) also there were ballons and a birthday cake made out of towels and washclothes , all decorated for the birthday people. I love my husband so much and he loves to surprises us.
Holy Cow, they do the dishes?!?! I’m so staying there next time! We’ve thought about the cabins before but were skeptical. Glad to hear you’re enjoying them.
This is awesome. We came back to the resort hotel on Christmas Eve and we had a towel made – mini tree, a plate with cookies on it, a doughnut etc etc it was too cute… Glad you are having a good experience also.
I am really glad they are doing that for you guys. We went to Disney in November and stayed at the All-Star Movies resort. My kids were really bummed night after night when we got back to the hotel and no surprises awaited them. We had previsouly stayed at Pop Century, and they had a little surprise waiting everyday. I know how special it is for the kids and how much yours probably love it. :-)
I have to admit, I’m jealous…my best friend and I went last year and stayed at the Pop. We tipped minimum $4 each day and only got a towel arrangement one day out of the entire week! We got jipped! =) lol
I love the attention to detail. It is amazing that at Disney, with millions of visitors, they make you feel special and important with all those little things they do.
How very fun!! We stayed at POR in October for our anniversary and we came back to the room to a picture of Mickey and Minnie and it said congratulations! Gotta love the surprises!
I’m so glad I discovered your blog, I truly am enjoying you taking your readers on “vacation” to Walt Disney World, blogging & sharing the surprises, each day. Got to love the magical, enchanting, lifetime happy memories one unlocks, each day at Walt Disney World…thank you, for sharing with us, your readers :-D
Our Mousekeeping was usually figures like mickey’s face, a rose, swans, a little mouse – that one was glued, the word Hello (with a memo about the dining res system maintence)
I need mousekeeping to come to SC ;) Packing to move to GA tomorrow. You updates have been fun for me. Praying for a chance to take my kids (wink wink) next year.
I am only 3 hours from Disney so I have been there several times..mostly via timeshare promotions but I think its time for a change. Looking at your pictures and reading the blog has convinced me I have not really ‘done’ Disney. Although I have teenagers they will still get a kick out of staying on Disney Property and enjoying all the perks.
Thanks!!! for the encouragement and continue to enjoy!
We leave $5 a day. I read somewhere that etiquette is to leave $1 per person plus an extra $1. I figure it probably makes their day as well. I love making people’s day better.
I LOVE IT! When my husband and I stayed at DIsneyland hotel for our anniversary, they gave us an autographed picture of Mickey & Minnie and Anniversary buttons. It was really sweet. It’s the little touches!
When we went in Novenmber, Mousekeeping would put my daughters stuffed animal in random places around the room…..she had fun looking for it each time we went back to the hotel. :)
Last night my Hubby decided he wants to start saving for a 2012 Disney trip! Now that I know someone will make all these little arrangements daily I’ll be sure not to leave my underwear lay around the room hahah! I haven’t been to Disney since 1978 so I’m excited!
The only things I really remember are It’s a small world, Dumbo and Space Mountain. I was only 6 at the time so my Dad lied to me and said we were going to walk through a building. Next thing I know its dark and I’m sitting in his lap in the car thing flying towards planets!!! I cried and kept hitting him and kicking him when we got off. I will NOT be going on that this time!!
The Mousekeeping surprises are always the best…When we where at Pop Century there would be a new photo (Character), balloons, special arrangements of my kids toys or stuffed animals and of course the towel animals and mickeys!
