That’s really cute. When we were there at Old Key West (2006), we didn’t ever get any surprises. That’s a cool idea.
Jackie Walker says
We always get towels animals at Pop Century! We then make a game with housekeeping by kind of hiding the animals or adding something we purchased during the day. They will keep up the game all week long. We also take a dry erase marker with us and leave notes on the bathroom mirror, like “Thank you”, “Have a Disney day”, “Smile because we are!” Sometimes they write notes back. It is a lot of fun! You will also get more attention if you take window clings to put on your outside window! At Pop we have seen all kinds of decorated windows!
Rita says
Cool! Last time we stayed at Pop we had an awesome Mousekeeper! My daughter left her notes telling her “Thank You” for all the cool towel creations. She then would leave her a reply note and another surprise. She even told her when her days off were and she’d look forward to serving us when she returned. We brought all of them home.
TraceyF says
We leave a month from today to take our 3 dd’s for first time to WDW. I found some really cute “Thank You” notes specifically for housekeeping staff that I plan to print to put with tips. We’re at POR so I hope they leave some goodies. It’s all those special little details that make the magic happen! Glad your family is having such a great time!
Ari says
My favorite was the trip (about 10 years ago) when my parents brought my best friend and I. We got stuffed animals in Animal Kingdom, and in addition to leaving us the fun towel animals, she also had our animals play hide and seek for the last 4-5 days of our stay. It was so much fun! We were in Animal Kingdom Lodge, and I swear that this is probably the reason AKL is my favorite. :)
Lisa B says
We stayed at Pop in Sept-Oct and we tipped $5 a day and had a new towel animal everyday plus they were all arranged differently when we came back.
We also had 2 coolers in the room and I swear they put in fresh ice for us as well. They were great. We were in room 3452.
Megan says
This is one more reason we are staying on property for our first ever trip to WDW in exactly 1 month! (Can you tell I am excited!?!)
Kelli says
You will have a blast! I am “Disney sick” right now! We went labor day weekend and I want to go back sooooooo bad…I’m already waiting for Feb-March for the “Kids Stay N Play Free” offer again! It WILL be a yearly stop for us now. My daughter and I got teary eyed watching the video Kristin posted of Pop Century…we then had to go find a youtube video of “our hotel” All Star Movies! :)
Enjoy every second!
Chrissy says
When we stayed at pop, we had something everyday, and then I was really disappointed when we stayed at all star movies, only had something at our arrival. :(
Lori R says
What should we tip for our week in the Boardwalk Villas? It’s my understanding that mouskeeping will come once around day four?? (There will be 4 adults.)
Kelli C says
oh wow, we can keep these?? we left them on the night stand .:(
Amy says
We had them left for us also at port Orleans didnt realize that we could keep them my husband used them. We are heading to Disneyland this December for the first time with our daughters. And getting excitied on what they do there.
MJ Murphy says
I have stayed at both All Star Movies and The Pop Century this past July.
All Stars left them for us and at the Pop we had to ask. And yes you can bring them home.
Dixie Crowley says
so cute……..looking forward to some in 23 days………Jennifer, I tip every day, because you never know if you are going to have the same person every day.
Jennifer Walker says
Do you leave a tip everyday?
Kristin says
Yes. I build the tip into our budget before we leave. Disney makes my day magical, I love being able to make someone else’s as well.
Jennifer mackety says
are those left for the kids to keep? That is too cute
Melinda says
Is that AllStar Sports?? <3 mousekeeping! They have always been wonderful (and very invisible).
Michelle says
We stayed last time we went at the all star movie resort I seen some of them in the windows of some of the rooms and on the cleaning cart but we never got left one.
Shelly says
We had some wonderful ones too last month when we were there! I took pictures of them all! What a nice lil surprise at the end of the day :D
leslie says
if you stay at any disney hotels or even the cruise ships they add this special touch when they make up your room.
Rosi Ramos says
cute!! do you have to ask for that sort of stuff??? we will be at DW next week…not at Pop Century this time. Checking out All Star movies resort
Kristin says
No we don’t ask. We just hope. I did see one window that had 5, so I am hopeful.
Kelli says
Rosi, What building are you in? We were in Toy Story and the mousekeeper, I believe her name was Brenda, left us surprises in our window every day we were there labor day weekend! We looked forward to it everyday!! I did see a lot of windows decorated all over the All Star Movies, so it is common there…one way you can “ask without asking” is if they don’t do it the first day, do a small one yourself and see if they add to it. My kids always added their new stuff to the window display when we got home each night! But, mousekeeping changed it around and made it fun every time they came!
April says
Okay where are you guys staying at? :)
Stephanie says
It’s Pop Century!
Teri says
Pop Century
Marian says
We always leave a tip too ($3-$4) and we didn’t get any last time we went in December…I don’t know if it was the resort or what but we were all disappointed! We stayed at New Orleans Riverside…loved the resort otherwise!
