Is there anything better than walking down Main St USA? Not for a Disney fan! Read through My Favorites In Magic Kingdom, and then tell me yours!
My #1 favorite thing to do in Magic Kingdom starts when I walk in the front gate. Walk by the Town Hall and continue around the corner to see a peak of Cinderella’s Castle. This first peak of the castle is always a magical moment for me.
Magic Kingdom has various attractions for all tastes, from classic attractions with no height requirement to roller coasters. My favorites are the “mountains”. On my last trip I got to conquer all the mountains in one day! These include: Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain and Space Mountain (and more recently, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train). If you love roller coasters, Magic Kingdom has you covered!
Often overlooked in Adventureland is the Swiss Family Treehouse. This attraction hardly has a wait, walk on up and through at your own pace. The view from the top is worth the climb! The peak height of this treehouse is actually 6 stories up.
Got a couple quarters to spare? Then take aim at the Frontierland Shootin’ Arcade. There are close to 100 targets to try your luck at, with your rifle. My kids and I love to stop here for a quick round to practice our aim. There are no prizes, just bragging rights!
Liberty Square in Magic Kingdom is full of historical facts and accuracies. The brown pavement running throughout represents the trash citizens used to fling out their windows (no trash pickup services back in the day)! There are also no restrooms in this land to keep up with historical accuracy. One of my favorite things of this land is simple, the rocking chairs found on this porch. It is the perfect tucked away spot to take a break.
Now this may seem odd, however my next favorite thing in this park is actually a restroom. The Tangled restroom found in Fantasyland is arguably the prettiest restroom in all of Disney World. The lanterns, especially in the evening, make a great photo spot.
Settling down with a classic treat is another must-do. It could be a Mickey Premium bar, a Mickey Pretzel or a Dole Whip! Your stop for a Dole Whip at Magic Kingdom is at Aloha Isle.
There’s a great big beautiful tomorrow…just seeing this picture makes me break out in song. The Carousel of Progress is a classic Disney attraction, and a must do each trip for myself. This attraction is one Walt Disney himself had a hand in creating. Each scene depicts an American family throughout the 20th century, and how technology is improving their lives. This attraction leaves me with a smile on my face and a song in my head.
Another must-do attraction is the People Mover. This attraction provides views from above, perfect for people watching, views of Cinderella’s Castle and more! It is a family-friendly ride, with a fast moving line, perfect for a rest.
When my time has come to leave Magic Kingdom, my favorite thing to do is shop on Main St USA. My favorite shop? The Emporium! This is the largest shop found in Magic Kingdom and has it all, from plush to apparel, pins, home goods and more. A new pair of ears is a must each trip!
