If you have been in the The SavEars Facebook group than you have heard us talk about Swagbucks and other ways to earn for Disney. Today we have a Swagbucks and apps story from Samantha to share and inspire you to start saving for your Dream Disney vacation!
Swagbucks, shopkick, and Ibotta have been huge contributors. I like buying the Visa gift cards on sale, paying bills from them and then taking what I would have paid and buying gift cards at Target. I also follow a page julies freebies that list out all the sweepstakes and I have won money from them as well as found Vip points and one opinion. And any other things I win if I can’t use I sell or like the free movie tickets means I can save my actual cash from that. I have also been very lucky with where I work. My boss gives us bonuses and I have used those to buy cards. I have a delta credit card I use to stack miles as well. Those won’t be used on this trip but my next one. Another lucky me thing is I book hotel rooms for work, so I use swagbucks and then hotels.com and I earn points and free nights for just booking them rooms! So we are flying out of Atlanta and staying for free on Dec 11th so we can get our early flight out. This trip started with me putting a deposit of 200.00 on trip. I got that 200.00 for staying at CBR during renovations! While I didn’t pay for my entire trip with these methods I paid for half at least. We will be there from 12/12-12/22 and doing the Christmas party!! Staying at Coronado with free dinning.
Thank you, Samantha B.!
Key Points:
- She uses her Swagbucks (SB) points to cash out for discounted Visa Gift Cards through Swagbucks. Then uses that to pay a bill she would pay anyway, and then pays herself to purchase a Disney Gift Card at Target.
- HOT TIP: If you have a Target red card (Debit or Credit) save 5% on everyday purchases, including Disney Gift Cards.
- Why Disney Gift Cards? A gift card dedicates the money towards your Disney trip with little to no opportunity for it to be used for something else, like cash on hand would. Plus, Disney Gift Cards can be used to pay for your Disney Resort Room, park tickets, souvenirs and food while on vacation and more.
- She uses bonuses from work to buy Disney Gift Cards, any extra money you come across that is not from your regular paycheck is great to set aside for vacation without missing it.
