I am back with another frugal tip! Todays money saving tip involves envelopes and how I get them for FREE to use. Do you get junk mail? I do, and most of it comes with a blank envelope. Instead of tossing your junk mail, open it and save the envelope inside.
There are 2 ways I reuse junk mail envelopes:
- I use these when I have to send in money to my child’s school, such as popcorn day or field trip money. Why waste a paid-for-envelope when these are FREE.
- I also use these to write down grocery lists, the back side is often blank and perfect for list-making!

How did I not think of doing this? Thanks for the great tip!

I use junk mail envelopes for my monthly cash envelopes. I put my money for groceries, gas, allowance, etc in different envelopes. I then keep a ledger of expenses on the back as I spend. I keep recipes in the envelopes. Then I write the month and year on them to file away for a few months.
