Over the years, companies have created “go size” packs of almost everything. It’s all about convenience these days. But have you ever actually looked and compared prices to the individual size packs vs. a regular pack? You are wasting money. But with a little planning, you can turn that around.

Another way you could be tossing away money is with ice packs. While they do keep your food cold, they are easy to bust or leak (I know this from personal experience which ended up wasting the food since you can’t eat it anymore). Freeze things like drinks, pudding cups, cheese sticks, etc. When you are packing lunch, toss the frozen stuff in the lunch box. By lunch time, the food will be thawed but will still be cold.

We buy the dried fruit and nut bag from Costco which is about $10.00. I divi it up each morning in sandwich bags. It lasts about 2 -3 weeks.
