Four Seasons Disney World
The new Four Seasons Orlando resort provided Destinations To Explore with a “hard hat” tour of the new resort, recently. Expected to open on August 3, 2014, the new Four Seasons Orlando resort provides Orlando vacation guests with a level of luxury never seen before in the Orlando market!
Located within the Walt Disney World Resort, guests will enter the resort through the Golden Oak gate. Located near the Ft. Wilderness Resort, Four Seasons Resort will offer breathtaking views of all four Disney theme parks and the nightly Magic Kingdom fireworks.
As their new General Manager says,
“We could not be more delighted that Disney chose to collaborate with us,” says Thomas Steinhauer, Regional Vice President and General Manager for Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort. “Our Resort offers incredible amenities never before seen at a stand-alone luxury resort in Florida. We offer an experience that our guests are going to love, plus endless recreational pursuits on property for guests to enjoy on a day off from the parks.”
For a day off from the parks, there’s plenty of entertainment to be had without setting foot off the Resort. A highlight of Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort is the five-acre (two hectare) Explorer Island water park, including a winding lazy river complete with a rapids section, two water slides, an interactive splash zone with water cannons, and much more. Family fun abounds, with activities including table tennis, bocce ball, beach volleyball, a rock climbing wall, and more all found at Explorer Island. The Hideout at Explorer Island is a separate freestanding building offering the latest gaming systems, and even an Italian gelateria. Additionally, The Mansion at Explorer Island is home to the Kids For All Seasons program, providing a complimentary kids camp for children ages 5 to 12 on a daily basis during the hours of 9:00 am to 5:00 pm – a one-of-a-kind offering in central Florida.
While children are having a blast at Kids For All Seasons, moms and dads can enjoy relaxation at the 18- treatment room Spa, or unwind in the paradise of The Oasis adult pool, for ages 21 and up, featuring cabanas and poolside cocktail service. In addition, golfers will love the 18-hole golf course, newly redesigned by Tom Fazio, and tennis aficionados will enjoy the three Har-Tru tennis courts and a variety of clinics, matches and more offered in partnership with Peter Burwash International. A spacious lakeside fitness centre is available 24-hours a day, with fitness classes ranging from yoga to cardio offered on a daily basis.
Additionally, Fabrizio Schenardi has joined the opening team of Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World® Resort as Executive Chef. Schenardi will oversee the culinary operations for the Resort’s five on-property restaurants, plus in-room dining and catering culinary operations.
Four Seasons Orlando Resort at Walt Disney World Resort will offer a variety of dining concepts, available to both Resort guests and local Orlando area residents. From a swanky rooftop steakhouse concept to a lakeside Southern rotisserie grill and an Italian pizza and pasta family style restaurant, there is something for everyone.
Four Seasons Orlando Resort will also offer a Character Breakfast, featuring Goofy and his pals twice, weekly at the Ravello Restaurant! The buffet-style breakfast will be offered on Thursdays and Saturdays, and also on Tuesdays during peak school break periods, and will feature a wonderful assortment of traditional breakfast offerings and an omelet station. A photographer will be available to capture the memories of the families with the stars of the breakfast, the always entertaining Goofy & Pals.
The resort will offer complimentary transportation to the four Disney World theme parks, as well as town car service to area attractions, for a small fee.
Four Seasons Disney World offers a truly unique vacation option for Orlando vacations. Our team was thoroughly impressed with the resort, even in it’s “incomplete” stages. We expect this to be a popular new destination for Orlando visitors.
Four Seasons Disney World will offer introductory rates during it’s first month of operation, below their normal rates. Now is the time to save and then splurge on the amazing Four Seasons Disney World.
