The 2nd time we went was still another wonderful blessing. I’m sure you know that Disney offered tickets for volunteering last year. I didn’t hear about it until after it was going on for a while. Then I started looking for a place that would work for my whole family to volunteer with, including my young son. That was a task in itself. I applied for several places and didn’t hear back from anyone at first so then I applied for places further away from my area. Finally, I came across one that was about an hour away but perfect for my family. I go to register and before I could finish someone must have taken up some of there spots because it changed and said only 2 spots left. I grabbed those 2 for me and him. Then I started looking for something for my oldest son and husband. I ended up signing them up for an orientation at a place so they could volunteer there. A few days later, the program was shut down because they had reached their 1 million limit. They couldn’t get their tickets. I was still looking forward to our volunteering because at least we would only have to buy 2 tickets. Then a few days after that I get an email saying the place we were actually signed up for a time and date to volunteer at, didn’t need anymore help. I couldn’t believe it.I was so upset because we were all excited about going to Disney. After going back and forth with the place and figuring out what had happened, everything ended up working out and we ALL ended up with volunteering tickets. It was such a blessing!!! This time all 5 of us were able to go and we found a room cheap and went for the day. And once again, we saw a very big, beautiful, double rainbow. So not only am I coming from a biblical standpoint as far as the rainbow being a reminder of His promise but it really truly felt like a sign from God to me both of those days. We could have never went to Disney on our own.

We didn’t see any deer when we were there but we did see something wonderful both times we went. We saw big, beautiful rainbows. I actually don’t get to see them to often so I was amazed at how we saw them both times. It felt like such a wonderful sign from God. Mainly, I felt that way because I figured we would never be able to afford to go to Disney and we ended up going twice in 1 year. The first time, I found out that military could get a 4 day pass for $100. I mentioned it to my friend who is a military spouse. She looked into it and come to find out, she could get it too plus she could get up to 4 extra 4 day passes at the same price for family and friends. Then her mom had a time share in Orlando and we could stay the week there for free! Long story short, we still didn’t have $400 for our family to go and I had a little baby. It ended up working out where me and middle son went after I sold some stuff on Craigslist. Daddy stayed home because he couldn’t take time off and him and my sister in law kept the baby. My oldest was away so he couldn’t go anyways. Then to make things even better, my friend had a hybrid so I didn’t have to pay for gas and I brung food from my stockpile to feed all of us while we were there. And the reason I went into all of that, is once again, I felt like that rainbow was a sign from God. For all of that to work out where we could go was awesome!

We have seen plenty of deer in the wilderness resort, but the coolest was this past halloween weekend we went to see the fireworks at magic kingdom and as we were leaving the parking lot, right near the entrance road that goes by the track there was a whole herd of deer, had to be 8 or so all just standing in the pasture there. Of course if I was a deer I would want to live on disney property as well.
Kelly K says
I had the same thought about maybe it being Bambi!

One night while bike riding from the campground to Wilderness Lodge we saw a buck and two baby deer . I thought they were not real only part of the Disney Magic , Lo and behold they were real and certainly part of the Disney Magic I love the campground both campsites and cabins . We have been going there since it first opened there used to be a train that went around the whole campground . Campground became so popular they had to build cabins and campsites over the train route . I sure do miss that train ride . If you can try to do the Hoop De Doo review and the hayride both are a lot of fun.
