Today I want to share with you Alyssa’s Swagbucks story!
Swagbucks helps me to buy the “extras” in life. I am a busy mom of 3 boys, so I keep my goal realistic at $5 a week. That way if I reach a higher amount in the week, it feels like I accomplished a bit more than needed. I do not utilize all the ways you can earn on Swagbucks. I feel like if I spend too much time on it, I will feel like it is more of a job than it is rewarding to me. It all depends how much time you want to dedicate to it.
I usually sit down with my morning coffee and do the daily goal and go through my inbox for those easy clicks to earn 1 or 2 Swagbucks. After that I look at the Gold Surveys to see if there are any surveys that look like they are high in bucks but won’t take a lot of my time. I set a time limit for myself in the morning before the kids have to go to school. I think if I did not set a time limit, I could be on it all day trying to qualify for surveys. I also use the search feature throughout the day in hopes to win here and there. Also, all my online
shopping goes through Swagbucks, which adds up. I have earned 2,320 Swagbucks in my lifetime. That may not seem like a lot, however, just for clicking through to make a purchase I was going to make anyways, easy!
Even though I do not use it as much as I possibly could, it helps me add to the birthday/holiday/fun account. I cash my Swagbucks in when I reach 500 each time. You are able to hold onto your Swagbucks for a discounted gift card once per month, however, cashing out for a $5 gift card each time I reach it helps keep me motivated. Otherwise, I get frustrated and feel like it takes too long for me to reach such a large goal. I usually use my Swagbucks for Target or Amazon gift cards. If there is something on Amazon that I want to pre-order as a
gift, I will make the purchase and then add an Amazon gift card to the balance as I earn them. I have been saving all my Target gift cards since December 2015 to use for the Holiday season this year. I am hoping to spend a very small amount out of pocket. After I earn about $30 in $5 target gift cards, I combine them in store into a larger amounted card. For some reason seeing them all add up helps to keep me motivated as well. Since December 2015 to date I have earned $205 dollars in Target gift cards alone. I have been exceeding my goal of
$5 a week. Even though I may not utilize it as much as others, it is a simple, easy way to earn extra money. Even if it is a small amount, every bit counts towards whatever goal you have set for yourself.
