As soon as we got back I realized how helpful Swagbucks could be. With two kids in private school and dance, our extra cash has been almost non-existent. I figured I could save money and get other things that we have been holding out on. Since last November I have earned just over $1500 with Swagbucks. Sometimes I’ll cash out for Paypal, other times I’ll cash out for gift cards for things we need (lately it’s been Lowe’s for my husband). We’ve gotten things like a power trimmer, a saw table, movie tickets, an Instax camera, and many dinners.
And while I know Disney isn’t an immediate reward, it is something my girls and I are trying hard to save for. To do this, I use a weekly savings format where you save a dollar a week ($1 the first week, $2 the second week, $3 the next, and so on). I don’t always go in order, if I have more one week I’ll cross off one of the higher weeks. It ends up being over $1200 by the end of the year! The picture I have included is my calendar with the savings grids and the cash I have saved.
We also have a savings jar for other cash, like change. It makes it feel more attainable for my kids if they have a visual of what we’re saving.
I’m still using other apps and rewards to earn Disney gift cards, which will help us get there faster.
We’re hoping to plan our next trip in 2019, just in time for a ton of new attractions! My oldest really wants to stay at the Polynesian, so there’s no time to waste!! Happy Swagging!!
(Thanks, Kim)
