Each Halloween season things get Not So Scary at Magic Kingdom. Guests can purchase a ticket for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party and enjoy an evening of Halloween fun. Here are 7 tips for taking your little one to Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party.
1. Plan Your Costumes
Children love to dress up and picking your costume for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween party is just as fun. Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is also the one time of year adults (guests age 14+) can dress up as well. Consider a Group costume to get the whole gang in on the fun!
Costume Guidelines: no impersonating character such as signing autographs, must be family-friendly with no weapons, adults are not allowed to wear masks and their costumes can not drag on ground (such as floor length princess dresses) plus capes can not be worn past mid waist. Guests under the age of 13 may wear a mask as long as it doesn’t cover the entire face and eyes are visible. As always, using good judgement is encouraged.
2. Have An Easy Morning & A Nap
The party begins at 7pm (with early entry starting at 4pm) and ends around midnight. If guests stay the maximum, that is 8 hours of thrills, and walking. Therefore, plan to have a relaxing morning and an early afternoon nap.
3. Comfortable Shoes For Little Ones
There is a good amount of walking involved to see all the sights. Therefore, comfortable footwear is a must. Having comfortable walking shoes also outweighs any matching to your outfit. There is nothing worse than being uncomfortable, plan ahead to break in a pair of shoes for the event.
4. Bring A Bag For Your Youngster To Dump Candy
Trick or Treating at the Magic Kingdom is one of the highlights of the evening. Guests are often surprised at just how much candy they leave with! Your little one will want to have the trick or treating experience, however there bags will get heavy quick! Plan to bring an extra bag to dump the candy into when theirs gets too full.
5. Annual Passholders Grab Fastpass+ For Their Favorite Attractions
While the party officially starts at 7pm, party ticket holders can enter as early as 4pm. To sweeten the early entry even further, Fastpass+ can be utilized from 4-6pm (for Annual Passholders only). Passholders can book a Fastpass for 4pm, 5pm and 6pm. Search for options your little one will love for a great start, before the party even begins!
6. Dine Early
Have an early dinner, consider dining at Magic Kingdom between 4-7, prior to the start of the party. I would choose a quick service location, as a sit-down dinner will take away from park time. Have a light meal and get fueled up. Do save room for treats!
7. Candy, Shows, Characters, Parade & Attractions
Above are the top 5 fun experiences of the Halloween party. However, trying to do it all will be nearly impossible. Instead sit down with your child and ask them their top 2-3 must do’s and get those done first. Then if you have time to see something else it will be a bonus.
