We spent the morning at Hollywood Studios. Here are the things I learned and observations and tips that I want to share with you:
- The parking lot Cast Members are not consistent – Sometimes I have to show my MagicBand that has the Annual Passholder band on it. Sometimes they have to scan my MagicBand. And sometimes they want to both scan it and check my ID. They can’t seem to decide what to do.
- 90% of the time we end up at the very end of the row – It is Murphy’s Law! Those rows in Hollywood Studios are LONG especially when you are tired.
- Don’t forget you have to walk in front of the park cars and not behind – The Cast Members are quick to remind you if you start to walk up the wrong side of the row. Make sure you go to the front of your car and walk up that way. Saves you the hassle of being reminded.
- Singer Rider Line at Rock ‘N Roller Coaster is awesome – Emily decided she was ready to conquer the queue by herself. I dropped her off at the entrance and met her at the exit. Only took her about 10 minutes total to ride at 9:30 in the morning.
- The area around Muppet Vision 3D is quiet – Since most of the area around the attraction is closed, what does remain open is fairly quiet and deserted. I could hear the sounds of construction as they worked on Star Wars Land. That is exciting.
- Tatooie Traders is NOT the place to shop – This store is always crazy crowded since the exit of Star Tours – The Adventure Continues exits into the shop. Try to browse as quickly as possible as people are EVERYWHERE! I’ve noticed most of these same souvenirs are in other shops throughout Walt Disney World that aren’t nearly as crowded.
- The new track at Toy Story Mania is colorful, smooth and fun – We got to go on the new track today which thrilled the kids. I noticed that everything was bright and colorful. The ride car moved a lot smoother and it was easier to shoot the gun. HOWEVER, the air cannons on the plates game were not working and I was sad about that. It is my favorite part of the game.
- Free ice water at Starbucks – The kids wanted a frappuccino and I agreed since they were being such good sports about all the pictures I needed to take. They had large dispensers of ice cold water set up near the straws and napkins. They provided the cups and you were welcome to as much as you needed. It tasted good too!
- Donald and Daisy are meeting near Guest Services – I noticed they have moved now to the Guest Services area near the entrance to the park. They are in their classic meets and they do meet together. I saw a girl taking a selfie with Daisy and I swear Daisy did the duck face.
- The wait for Olaf was 5 minutes – When we went by his Meet and Greet at 9:45, the wait was only 5 minutes. That is really good for this popular character on a busy day. Hopefully you will find a low wait time too. When we met him a month ago, we waited about 20 minutes at 9:20 AM. So you never know!
I hope these tips help you to have a great trip to Walt Disney World!

So do you stay off property? We have gone twice and stayed on site both times but I have been looking into off site due to money.
