10 Things You Need To Know About Golf At Walt Disney World:
- Beginner golfer? Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course is ideally designed for your enjoyment.
- Forgot your shoes? You can rent clubs and shoes at all of the golf courses. They also provide the tees. You just need balls and maybe a glove.
- Thirsty? You can’t bring your own food or beverages onto the Walt Disney World golf courses. However, each golf cart is equipped with a cooler that you can stock with items purchased at the club. There are also comfort stations available throughout the course that are stocked with ice machines, cups and water fountains.
- Need transportation? You can get a taxi voucher from select Walt Disney World Resort hotels to get you to and from the course.
- Want to play on a PGA TOUR course? Disney’s Palm Golf Course, Disney’s Magnolia Golf Course and Disney’s Lake Buena Visa Golf Course have all hosted the PGA TOUR. Disney’s Magnolia Golf Course is a favorite.
- Need a tee time? Call 407-WDW-GOLF to reserve yours before you play. You can reserve up to 90 days in advance if you are staying at a Disney Resort. 60 days in advance for everyone else.
- How long will your game last? Plan on spending about 4 1/2 hours if you plan to play all 18 holes.
- What about foursomes? If you do not have a foursome, Disney will pair players whenever practical.
- What about the weather? If it rains, you will be provided with a rain-check to return to complete or restart your round. It is based on the number of holes that you were able to play before the rain started.
- What if I want to play multiple courses? Disney will store your clubs and transfer them between Walt Disney World golf courses for you. This service takes place every morning so keep that in mind when planning your schedule.
