As much as not planning your Disney vacation can ruin it, so can over planning. Guests are able to plan for their trips ahead of time with Fastpass+, Advanced Dining Reservations and more. These are great tools to utilize, however leave some spare moments to let magic happen. Up first is a tip to not overbook your day.
Allow For An Hour Travel Time
Your Disney Resort may only be 10-15 minutes away from a Disney Park (times will vary by Resort location), however still allow for an hour travel time. Therefore, if you want to make rope drop at a Disney park, leave 1 hour prior to park opening. Guests must also factor more than just the actual ride to the park for travel time. Other factors include the time it takes to walk to the bus stop, or mode of Transportation, and waiting for the transportation to show up. Factor in travel time to your day as not to over-plan your time.
Try A New Restaurant
With advanced dining reservations and online menus guests can preplan their meals at Disney easily from home. Keep spontaneity alive at Disney by grabbing a meal or 2 on a whim. Leave open spots to try a new Quick service eatery or have an unplanned snack!
Avoid watching Ride Videos
For guests returning after a year or more, chances are there is something or several new things to discover! Avoid watching ride-throughs on YouTube for every attraction. Keep the new ones a surprise for yourself and your group.
