“I am so glad mother in law is moving to our town.” God bless ;p

Love the photo in the post and that the HOV lane is helping you speed across the highway. Just wondering if you could post any larger version of the photo as a 120×160 pixel photo is very very very small on a 1920×1200 screen.
Kristin says
I’ll post them bigger. They look huge on my iPhone hahaha

ATL gets a bad wrap. For a metro area of over 5 million, I think it does quite well. Having lived in ATL for 9 years, the traffic problem in ATL is proportional to its size. The majority of the traffic are those passing through town. Us townies use the many many surface streets to keep the wheels moving! There are far smaller cities and towns in the country I have lived in and driven through that are FAR WORSE! Charlotte, Denver, DC etc..

I went to Atlanta to visit a friend a few years back and it was 9pm and we were 10 minutes from their house and it took over an hour to get the last 5 miles. NOT a fun area to drive in!
Missy says
that’s why we stagger our departure time so there isn’t much traffic on our drives through – the emptiest drive….back in 2005 we left NC Christmas afternoon – got to ATL around 7pm – I think we saw 3 cars…lol
Kristin says
It was a freaking truck getting a ticket. People are too nosey.
We will be getting there before it opens so I will let u know.

I know the feeling. Sometimes I feel like yelling out the window “Everybody move, move”. You guys will be there in no time. Have a safe & fun trip and no yelling out the window. Kristin, please let us know if the trolley horse is set up at opening time to take you down main street. Do you guys plan to get there at opening time (MK) or just play it by ear?
