You made it ! Your magical vacation is here !! You can’t wait to get started, riding all those amazing rides, watching the shows or eating the scrumptious food, but how do you get around the ‘World? Traveling throughout Walt Disney World is very easy, if you know how.
There are 4 parks, Disney Springs, ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, 2 water parks, 2 miniature golf areas, and 26 resorts on site that you can travel between (there are few more things, but these are the main ones).
Disney has made it exceptionally easy to travel from your resort to the parks, we all know there are bus stops at each resort (some have water stops and the monorail), but how do you get from park to park. Depending on the park, there are a couple of different ways you can travel between them. Disney transportation will get you from park to park, here is the breakdown.
Animal Kingdom – can only be reached by bus. It is the furthest park out, therefor not attached to any monorail or lake.
Epcot – There are a couple of ways to get to Epcot, depending on which park you are leaving.
- Animal Kingdom – bus
- Magic Kingdom – bus or monorail (monorail will be ridden to the TTC then
walk down and walk back up to the other side and board another monorail
for Epcot) - Hollywood Studios – bus and water taxi
Hollywood Studios – can be reached by bus or water taxi
- Magic Kingdom – bus
- Animal Kingdom – bus
- Epcot – bus or water taxi
Magic Kingdom – The center hub of Walt Disney World, it is an island onto itself and is only accessible by boat, monorail or bus. Vacationers in their own cars must park at the TTC (Transportation and Ticket Center) and either ride the boat or monorail across.
- Animal Kingdom – bus
- Epcot – bus or monorail (monorail will be ridden to the TTC and then walk down and walk back up to the other side and board the monorail for Magic Kingdom)
- Hollywood Studios – bus
The boat and monorail will take from specific resorts to different parks as well. There are couple of apps for your phone that you can download to help navigate around the transportation or any friendly cast member will be more than happy to help you find your way. Each park has numbered bus stops that will show you where they are picking up and dropping off at. There is a large sign at the entrance to the bus corral that will tell you which number to look for.
