Tri-Circle-D Ranch has relocated to a bigger facility at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. Guests are welcomed to visit and explore the exhibits of Disney equestrian artifacts as well as see where the Happiest Horses on Earth live.
The new ranch will house nearly 100 horses in a wide range of breeds including Arabians, Clydesdales, Percherons, Appaloosas, Belgians, quarter horses and Shetland ponies. These horses are used for activities on Main Street as well as horse-drawn carriage and wagon rides, horseback riding lessons, pony rides and more.
One of the most exciting parts of the relocation is the movement of the historic 1907 Dragon Calliope that was purchased by Walt Disney himself for the opening of Disneyland Park in the 1950’s.
Kept in storage during the build of the new ranch, it was relocated in true Disney style. The Horses brought it to its new home and were even dressed to match the historic musical instrument.
