Molly Kate is currently asleep on my chest as I write this. She loves to be held and cuddled and I love to do it. She is such a wonderful blessing and such a sweet baby. Life is so good.
Molly Kate was born on May 30th, 2014. She weighed in at 8 lbs, 5 oz and was 20.75 inches long. We had an issue with her weight dropping the first week, but now that my milk is established, she is gaining quickly. Because she was breech for 10 weeks (I was able to get her to flip in the 35th week by visiting a chiropractor that specializes in the Webster Technique), the doctors performed a hip ultrasound. It looks like she has a touch of hip dysplasia. We are due to visit the pediatric orthopedic later this week.
She is a very good baby. She sleeps about 1.5-2 hours between feedings at night and usually goes back to bed without any issues. She spends her days eating (I call her my piggie), hanging out in our arms or sleeping in her moses basket or Mamaroo. Both Emily and Jacob are crazy about her. They are so excited to have a baby sister.
Life with 3 kids is so different! And having a baby at 31 is a whole lot different than having a baby at 21 (Emily and Molly Kate are 10 years and 17 days apart). I wouldn’t change this for the world though. We are so glad that she is finally here.
I hope you are having a wonderful Saturday!

She is adorable! There is a 5 year gap between my 3 daughters and I wouldn’t have changed it for the world. They are so close! Enjoy every minute holding Molly Kate cause before you know it she will have car keys in hand and you are left in the house. Best wishes for a happy future!

Congratulations! Enjoy every moment! Your sweet baby is precious!!! Can’t wait to hear all about her first trip to Disney! For just having a baby, you’re doing an excellent job keeping up with your blog! (I had no idea). Blessings! :-)

I am so happy to hear you are both well! and that she has cozied right into the family!
I totally understand the 21 to 31 thing. I have a gap also. Mine is 19 to 37. and i actually had my last at 43. my boys are 25, 22, 6.my girls are 4 and 8 months. The age gap and knowing how fleeting the moments are makes you slow down and enjoy, every second for yourself. And you get the unique perspective of watching your older kids enjoy her also. I am so so happy your little bundle arrived safe and is thriving!!
