Are you planning on visiting Walt Disney World in July? Here is everything you need to know about that time of the year:
Crowds
Crowds are heavy throughout the month. The first week very heavy crowds due to the 4th of July. Things start to taper off slightly towards the end of the month as families start to gear up to head back to school.
I would plan a trip for the last week of July.
Weather
The average temperature throughout the month is between 91 – 92 degrees F. The average rainfall is 7 inches. Pack light clothing and bring your bathing suit and ponchos!
July is considered hurricane season. Be prepared by reading this article on traveling to Walt Disney World during hurricane season.
Parks
The Magic Kingdom is open until 10 PM on most nights during the month of July. On nights with Extra Magic Hours, the park will stay open as late as 12 AM. Hollywood Studios is open until 8:30 pm most nights except for nights with Extra Magic Hours.
Animal Kingdom is open until 9-10 PM each night. Epcot is open until 9 PM on most nights.
Events
Both the Magic Kingdom and Epcot put on a fabulous 4th of July fireworks show. They do a test run on the 3rd. I would plan to see Magic Kingdom’s fireworks on July 3rd and Epcot’s on July 4th.
