You’ve saved and saved and finally have a Walt Disney World trip to look forward to! When you arrive at Walt Disney World, one thing you’ll want to make time for is shopping! With so much awesome merchandise all over Disney property, it is almost impossible to come home without something! But how do you know what to buy, what you can buy exclusively at Disney, and how much should you allow your kiddos to spend. This week, we are going to take a look at some Walt Disney World Shopping and Merchandise Tips. Happy shopping!
Where can I get my mouse ears embroidered at Epcot? Epcot has this great shop, called Mouse Gears. They are stocked with tons of great mouse ear designs, and there is also an embroidery station there. It is toward the front entrance of the store. This is a great place to stop if Epcot is your first park. That way you can have ears personalized and wear them the rest of your trip!
I want to send my packages back to my resort for pick up, so I don’t have to carry them around. Where do I pick them up once I arrive back at my Walt Disney World Resort? Each resort is different, but most of them have package pick up at the gift shop. When you arrive back at the resort, your merchandise may not be there yet. When it does arrive, someone from the resort will call your room and let you know it is available.
We have purchased retail MagicBands. Can these be linked to our MDE account? Yes! You can link this MagicBand in your My Disney Experience Account by following the steps under MagicBands and Cards. However, if you are unsure, when you arrive at Walt Disney World, a CastMember can link your retail MagicBand to a My Disney Experience Account. From there, you can use it as your ticket, room key, for charging privileges, etc.
What are some unique souvenir ideas for our children? One of the best places to find unique souvenirs is in Epcot’s World Showcase. Here you will find authentic snacks, fun ornaments, and even apparel from that particular country. I encourage you to look around World Showcase for something unique and special!
Is there anything that I cannot have sent back to my resort for package pick up? Yes. You cannot have food sent back for package pick up. Technically, they aren’t even supposed to send packaged snacks like the Chip and Dale pretzels, boxed cookies, etc. Sometimes these slip through, but as a general rule, plan on carrying your food purchases with you.

We just returned from Disney and I wanted to add that at Disney Springs, I was told it would take 2 days for shipping back to the resort , everywhere else was 1 full day. I had planned to do most of my shopping on the last day but changed after realizing I would be carrying everything if I chose to do this!
