Be our guest…Be our guest…this eatery in Magic Kingdom automatically makes me want to break out in song! Be Our Guest serves breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. A common question is should I choose Be Our Guest for lunch or dinner? Al though, breakfast is pretty great too we are comparing lunch and dinner today! Guests may not be aware of all the differences these two dining times can provide. Starting with cost, and ending with questions to consider.
Cost
Lunch offers a la carte items, entrees vary from $15-$18 and children entrees are $9-$10, adding drinks and dessert will cost per item. Where as dinner is a Prix-Fixe menu costing $60 per adult and $36 for children (age 3-9), plus tax.
Dining Plan
For guests on a Disney Dining Plan there is a huge difference in meal credits needed to dine for lunch or dinner. Lunch is one Quick Service credit, while dinner is two Table Service credits! Same atmosphere, however the food options differ.
Food
Guests dining for lunch can try the French Dip Sandwich, Cannellini Bean Cassoulet, Croque Monsieur and more. The Grey Stuff
A guest favorite at Be Our Guest, is the grey stuff – it’s delicious! You will be happy to know this is available at lunch or dinner. Guests can order The Master’s Cupcake at lunch for $4.99. It is a chocolate sponge cake topped with Lumiere’s Grey Stuff! At dinner, your grey stuff craving will be satisfied in the Dessert trio, one of the desserts is a White Chocolate “Chip” cup coming with Grey Stuff & Crisp pearls.
Reservations
No matter which meal you decide, an Advanced Dining Reservation is highly recommended. Be Our Guest is unique because it offers both quick service and table service, all of which accept dining reservations. Reservations can be made up to 180 days in advance.
Questions to help you decide…
Do you eat Dessert?
If you are already a dessert eater, than dinner may be worth it. If you just cannot do dessert after your meal, you will essentially be paying for something (dessert trio) that you wouldn’t normally buy. If you do not normally purchase an app and dessert, lunch may be the best option for you.
Are you a big Beauty and the Beast fan?
This is the perfect eatery for Beauty and the Beast fans, dining inside the Beast’s Castle. For fans of the Disney movie, go for Dinner to meet the Beast. The Beast is not available at lunch, while dinner includes a photo with the Beast himself! This is the only location at Disney World to meet and greet with the Beast, for this reason choose dinner!
Do you prefer to take your time while you dine?
Past reviews on guests who have attended both have said, dinner is more relaxing and not as hectic as lunch. If you prefer a meal to unwind, than choose dinner.
