It may be tempting to dress up as your favorite character for your Star Wars adventure at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. However, Disney’s costume policy remains in effect for visiting this land, just as any other land in a Disney park.
Costumes and masks (as long as they do obstruct view) may be worn by guests age 13 and younger. Costumes may NOT be worn by guests 14 years or older. However Disney bounding is allowed. Disney bounding is recreating a character look using regular clothing pieces and accessories.
One item you may be surprised to learn is not allowed are the robes sold in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge as pictured above!
Not Allowed:
- No Robes
- No Military-style attire
- No masks
- No facepaint
- No elaborate headwear
- No blasters or holsters
- No hard items (boday armor, helmets, kneepads)
- No full character suits
- Select items sold in Galaxy’s Edge that violate these terms are not allowed to be worn either (pictured above)
Furthermore, if you can be confused for a First Order Stormtrooper or Chewbacca, then your bounding is TOO good and NOT allowed. This is because both will be roaming the land, and Disney does not want any mix-ups!
Allowed
To Disney bound, piece together traditional clothing, you may already have for a Batuu Villager inspired look and more! Use layering and vests to help achieve your look. Accessories, such as belts are great too! Additionally, lightsabers ARE an acceptable accessory allowed in this land. As more ideas, dress up with looks inspired by your favorite droid, the First Order or the Resistance!
