Zappos has announced that they are launching a Single and Different Size Shoes Test Program. Customers can now buy one shoe or if you need a pair in different sizes for each foot!
This is a great inclusive measure for people with disabilities or physical differences that would mean they only need one shoe or need shoes with varying left and right sizes, including to fit prosthetics. This new program is part of Zappos Adaptive. Brands are limited right now as this is a test program, but notably you can find Nike, Converse & New Balances shoes! Even more impressively- a single shoe is half the price of a pair. That seems crazy to think of as special, but it’s nice to see there is no price bump. Half the pair is truly half the price of a pair of shoes.
There are single shoes available in men’s, women’s and children’s sizes.
Shoppers can find excellent videos on the Zappos Website detailing how to measure a prosthetic and how to measure your feet to make sure you get the perfect fit!
“The goal of Zappos Adaptive is to connect people with products that make getting dressed easier for everyone. It’s important to us that each and every person has access to clothing, footwear, and accessories that are functional, fashionable, and meet many types of needs.”
