This review comes from my reader Chris…
Why did you choose this resort? I wanted to have an awesome “big” time with DS and DD before they graduated from high school. I wanted it to be the vacation of all vacations. I also picked it for the theming and Stormalong Bay
What were the resort rooms like? Were they big enough for your family? Did you find them to be acceptable? The resort rooms were decorated in light airy decorations and a very beachy look. We had two queen beds and a daybed. We usually travel with me, DH, DS20, DD19, and DD’s BFF. DD and her BFF took one bed, DH and I took the other bed, and 6’2” DS took the daybed (it was “his” bed—do not use it to sit on! LOL). We had plenty of room for all of us and a weeks worth of stuff with us. We had asked for a room “closest to EPCOT”. The room we received was on the end close to EPCOT and was a bottom floor room with a little patio outside. We were so close to EPCOT that it took us two minutes to walk from our room to the International Gateway and we could sit in the room with the sliding doors open to hear the music from EPCOT. We were right across from the bridge to the Boardwalk. The location was the farthest from the parking lot, but since we never went back to the car, that didn’t matter to us. It was perfect!!
What were the amenities of the resort like? What was your favorite one? Stormalong Bay needs to be experienced by everyone atleast once in their life. It is the most inclusive pool area that I’ve seen. The slide that goes over the walkway was very fun (yes, I did it with the teens!). The lazy river is great too. There is one portion that you should not get in if you do not swim well (me!) or are a young person though. There is a fun-looking swirling water area that is very energy draining if you don’t have the energy to get out of it. I would not want to see small children in it for sure. The beach area is awesome for a quiet walk in the evenings and the closeness of the boardwalk activities makes it hard not to go join in on the fun.
What was the food court like? Any favorite foods? This would be DD’s favorite part of the resort. She is a breakfast fanatic along with DH, but she is the picky one. We had a reservation for Cape May Café for breakfast. She loved it so much that she wanted to eat there every morning! We also enjoyed Hurricane Hannah’s for a quick lunch. Having the Marketplace right down the hall was definitely a plus. The gelato was awesome and the sandwiches and other snacks were great too. Beaches and Cream was another great experience with the awesome ice cream. There are so many great restaurants within walking distance that I could definitely not stay there and be hungry!
How were the resort buses? What was your walk to the bus stop like? How were the resorts bus stops at the parks? How far was the walk to the gates? How crowded were the buses at any given time? From our room, we were two minutes to the International Gateway at EPCOT or about 15 minutes to Hollywood Studios. We were about seven minutes to the bus stop and about the same to the boat dock. We never had any issues with the resort transportation. The buses and boats were never crowded coming to the resort or going to the parks and we never waited more than just a few minutes for either.
Would you stay at this resort again? If not, please provide a reason. Absolutely! This is my favorite resort. It was one of the most fun times I’ve spent with my almost grown children and we had a blast! There was nothing I would have changed.
Please provide a photograph you took at the resort if you have one. It can include your family or not, that is up to you. It doesn’t matter where at the resort it was taken. I have pictures of the resort but not with me. I will try to send them later today though.

We stayed at the Beach Club in August of 2010.
Why did you choose this resort? The was a 30% promo going on for the deluxe resorts at the time and the capability for a standard room to sleep 5 people.
What were the resort rooms like? Were they big enough for your family? Did you find them to be acceptable? There were 5 of us girls in one room, ages 16 and up, so we were a little hesitant for our stay, but were pleasantly surprised!! The day bed that slept the 5th person was actually very comfortable and we found there was pleanty of room for all of us. Besides you aren’t in the room all that much anyways, or atleast we aren’t :) The bathroom was a nice size and it was especially nice that the vanity was separate from the toilet and shower so 2 or even 3 people could get ready at once. Would definetly do this again, even with the 5 of us, but with my husband it would be six so we would be over occupancy :(
What were the amenities of the resort like? What was your favorite one? The pools were great! We were able to enjoy Stormalong Bay, as well as many of the quirt pools, a lot on our trip. The proximity to Epcot was also a HUGE plus. Being able to walk out the back door and pretty much straight into the World Showcase was incredible!!
What was the food court like? Any favorite foods? No foodcourt, but we did hit the Marketplace and Cape May Cafe. We did the Market place for some snacks, milk for cereal, and the refillable mugs, and always had very pleasent experiences there! We did Cape May Cafe for the dinner buffet and the food was SPECTACULAR but very pricey during the summer peak season so would not do it again unless on the dining plan.
How were the resort buses? What was your walk to the bus stop like? How were the resorts bus stops at the parks? How far was the walk to the gates? How crowded were the buses at any given time? The bus stop was a quick walk out of the lobby and not too far from any point in the hotel. The stops at the parks were very efficient. The buses were never too crowded, even in August, and we always got on the first bus that came by to the park we were looking to go to. However, the best transportation at the Beach Club is the boats (and walking of course) The boat goes to both Epcot and Hollywood Studios and was amazing and quick!!
Would you stay at this resort again? We LOVE the Beach Club!! and would stay again here in a HEARTBEAT!!! We may end up having to do 2 moderate rooms at POFQ this summer for more room, but it will be an incredibly hard decision for us :)

We stayed at the Beach Club during Spring Break 2010. We are DVC members and had a one Bedroom Suite for our Family of 5.
I chose this resort because we have 3 boys and the Pirate Ship slide and theme of the Pool is awesome. This is a very popular pool and castmembers do check for resort room keys. Also, the whole Boardwalk area is charming.
We really enjoyed having a nice Beach area and we finally tried the Surrey Bikes. This area has a tough hill for older parents…. so we turned in our rental a little bit early. LOL!
We drove, as we usually do now. We know the area well enough and we like having our own car. We loved taking a beautiful stroll to Epcot. The best thing is that you are headed out of the park through the countries. Everyone else is going straight for the front of Epcot.
The rooms are nice and we love the beach decor. I think we only had breakfast at the quick service. I remember my son had a huge muffin and a huge cinnamon roll. We really enjoyed Cape May. We did the seafood buffet. There were enough choices that the kids were happy. My middle son loved the fresh shrimp and tried long neck clams for the first time…. he loved those too.
We would definitely go back to Beach Club.

Yay, my favorite!!
We just returned from the Beach Club! And I have to say, it would be hard for us to stay anywhere else again. We did stay club level, and it was a GREAT experience if you are looking for that extra luxury.
Why did you choose this resort? Our travel agent recommended this hotel to us as a family resort…we previously stayed at the Yacht Club many years ago so we thought we could give it a try.
What were the resort rooms like? Were they big enough for your family? Did you find them to be acceptable? The room was large enough for my family of 3. It was great having the sinks outside the bathroom so multiple people could get ready at once. Although, the bathroom door was awfully close to the toilet…which I found was kind of strange. We even had a rollaway crib in our room and we still had more than enough room. They were decorated very nicely and the balcony was larger than we expected!
What were the amenities of the resort like? What was your favorite one? Stormalong Bay had to be the best amenity. The shipwreck/slide, the sandbar pool for the younger kids was more than anyone could ask for. We also loved how close in proximity it was to Epcot. We love the dining options of Epcot and the Boardwalk…but also really enjoyed dining at the hotel.
What was the food court like? Any favorite foods? No food court but we did try EVERY restaurant in the hotel! We did Beaches and Cream for Lunch (very good), Hurricane Hannah’s for lunch (veggie wrap was amazing!), Cape May for Dinner (they were slightly slow refilling the buffet, but the seafood was delicious and frash!), Captaine’s Grille for lunch (I wasn’t impressed), Yachtsmen Steakhouse (unbelievably good, both service and food), Marketplace for snacks (very fresh side salads!) And like I mentioned previously, it’s about 5 minutes to the world showcase and the Boardwalk. We really enjoyed being able to take an afternoon break then walking to Epcot for dinner (Especially in Italy!!)
How were the resort buses? What was your walk to the bus stop like? How were the resorts bus stops at the parks? How far was the walk to the gates? How crowded were the buses at any given time? The bus stop was not too far from the lobby. We were able to get a bus to character breakfasts at 7:10am, Never waited more than 10-15 minutes for a bus to show at the resort. Animal Kingdom was about a 15 minute ride, Magic Kingdom about 20 minutes, Downtown Disney was quick 10 minutes but here is a tip for the ride back…also known as the WORST bus trip in Disney!…Take a resort boat to Port Orleans and catch a bus there to Epcot, then walk to the resort. It sounds like a VERY LONG route, but trust me it’s quicker. We waited for 20 minutes to get a bus from downtown Disney to Beach Club, then we stopped at a water park, then went to Boardwalk, Swan, Dolphin, Yacht Club and then finally beach club…it took us an HOUR just on the bus to get back to the resort!
We would always walk to Epcot rather than the boats, and walked to Hollywood Studios as well. One time the boat was full going to HS, so we walked and actually got to the park at the same time as the boat that we had to miss! About 20 minute walk to HS.
Would you stay at this resort again? If not, please provide a reason. We LOVE this resort and I don’t believe we would want to stay anywhere else! We loved the location and the multiple transportation options. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Oh and Kristin, I have TONS of photos of the resort if you need!

We stayed at the Beach Club in 2008 and could not recommend it enough! We chose this resort because the kids fell in love with the pictures of the pool (water park, really) online and we wanted to stay in the park. We stayed on the concierge level (Mom, Dad, 3 kids) and the rooms were very spacious. We loved all the “extras” this level offered — free breakfast in the morning, snacks throughout the day, wine and desserts at night, etc). Our only complaint is the distance from these rooms to the pool. When one of my little ones forgot their flip flops, it took 20 minutes to get back to the room and then back to the pool. We loved the Cape May Cafe buffet — the seafood was wonderful and there really is something for everyone. We loved the “kitched sink” ice cream dessert at Beaches and Cream as well. We also loved being able to take the boat over to the Boardwalk at night so the kids could play games. The resort buses were fine, very efficient. We did wish we were on the monorail but what can you do?! The walk to the bus stops is not bad at all. The resorts bus stops at the parks are very close and not a far was the walk to the gates at all. We weren’t there on peak season, but the buses were not crowded at all. The only downside to the buses is having to fold up the strollers. We definitely WOULD stay at this resort again. The staff was amazing, it was spotlessly clean, and we had a great time. 5 stars!

We stayed at Beach Club DVC several years ago. We were only there a few nights but it was great. We had a 5th floor Epcot view room. At night we could sit on our balcony and watch and hear Illuminations. I wish we had enough time to do Storm-a-long bay but we will just have to go back again.
The room was clean and nicely decorated however we are used to staying at Old Key West with our points and the rooms at the Beach Club are smaller so it takes a little getting used to.
We did not eat at the restaurants on this trip so I can’t comment on any of the amenities.

The Beach Club is my favorite resort! We stayed here with 3 adults, DD 12, DD10 & nephew who is 18months. We had plenty of room even with the complimentary crib in the room. We enjoyed the balcony and view too! The best feature of the Beach Club in my opinion is the easy walk to Epcot! As passholders we go in quite often for dinner so it was perfect. Also the short boat ride to Hollywood Studios. In my opionin if you can get to a park without getting on a bus it’s a major plus!! Although when we did take the buses we had no problems. The pool is absolutely amazing for all ages. My older daughters loved the pirate ship pool slide and my nephew loved playing in the sand and wading in the shallow sandy bottom area. As for the dining options at the Beach Club you can’t beat Cape May Cafe. The dinner buffet is delicious – if you are a seafood lover you will be in heaven with the super fresh crab claws and many other seafood specialities. If you are not a huge seafood fan there are plenty of other options for you too! We also did the Character breakfast at Cape May and enjoyed it too. Great food and varitey of characters in their beachy attire! We also enojyed some of the activites at the pool during the afternoons – one day we tie dyed Mickey shirts and another the kids joined in the luau- playing the limbo, dancing, trivia and more! Another fun activity is the nightly campfire and movie on the beach! I love that all of these (besides the Tie dying) was FREE! Overall I think the Beach Club is one of the best locations with some of the best amenities you can find at WDW!

Why did you choose this resort?
We are DVC members and own points at this resort as well as 2 others, but this is our FAVORITE resort of all. We love the location to Epcot and how easy it is to walk into Epcot and Hollywood Studios.
What were the resort rooms like? Were they big enough for your family? Did you find them to be acceptable?
The rooms are very nice and we have stayed in a Studio and a 2 bedroom and both are nice. We have stayed at the Beach Club villas, so not sure what the regular resort rooms are like, but from what I have seen they are very nice.
What were the amenities of the resort like? What was your favorite one?
The Beach club pool is the best pool of all the resorts. It has a sandy bottom, a beach area with zero entry for small kids and a lazy river in another section of the pool. I love the pool because my daughter is 3 and she will sit and play in the pool and sand for hours and I don’t have to worry about entertaining her. Also, there is a pool side bar and restaurant and they will take your order and deliver your food to you poolside. The pool is huge and has several different areas for all ages and adults can just relax too. Also, different activities with music and things for kids.
What was the food court like? Any favorite foods?
The food area may be somewhat smaller than say some of the other resorts, but I think that is because you are so close to Epcot and with so many choices at Epcot who wants to eat at the resort. But with that said, they have several options such as make your own salad, flatbread pizzas, sandwiches, and soups. I liked the salad option since I usually ended up eating more than I needed to at the parks and it was a lighter option. They also have Beaches and Cream which is a good place to get icecream or lunch and then Cape May which has a character buffet breakfast, but we haven’t done that yet. I have heard good things about it though.
How were the resort buses? What was your walk to the bus stop like? How were the resorts bus stops at the parks? How far was the walk to the gates? How crowded were the buses at any given time?
I didn’t have any problems with the buses. Overall, pretty short wait times and compared to some other parks the lines were small. It is definitely a lot shorter wait than some of the other resorts such as All star and some of the moderate resorts.
Would you stay at this resort again? If not, please provide a reason.
Like I said earlier this is our favorite resort. I have stayed at Beachclub, Boardwalk, Saratoga Springs, Riverside, and All-star and Beachclub and Boardwalk are my personal favorites. They are smaller resorts and therefore less wait time for buses and also these resorts you can walk to both Epcot and Hollywood Studios, which saves a lot of time.

We didn’t stay at the Beach Club, but we did do a character breakfast there one morning at Cape May Cafe. It was wonderful. When we came in, Max (Goofy’s son) was greeting people for pictures. So we were able to take some pictures while we were waiting for our table.
The food was great. Everything from Mickey Mouse waffles to egg pizza to fabulous pastries, etc. It was a buffet, which is great for kids, because if they don’t like something they got, they can try something else.
It was my daughters 12th birthday and Minnie Mouse brought out a muffin with a candle in it for her. That was lots of fun. We also got to see Mickey Mouse, Chip and Dale, and Goofy.
Over all, it was a great time, and we had plenty of time to eat and still make it to Blizzard Beach before they opened :)

We just got back from this resort and I can’t wait to revisit the beach club. I chose this resort because of the location. We have previously stayed at the Animal Kingdom Resort and didn’t enjoy all of the bus rides. Also, my family consist of very picky eaters. The option of walking to the boardwalk to eat at ESPN and Boardwalk Pizza was perfect for us. You may want to forget going to the famous Chef Mickey Character breakfast at the Contemporary Hotel, the Beach Club has a great character breakfast buffet in the morning with Mickey, Donald Duck, Minnie, Goofy, etc.
The room size and cleanliness was exceptional for our family of four and easily would fit five comfortably if not six. The pool is definitely the best out of all the resorts. You could easily just spend your entire vacation there. The sand bottom pool and the beach in the pool let the kids feel as though they were at an actual beach. I also was surprised to see that every night at 9pm there was an inflatable projection screen set up on the beach for the family to watch a feature Disney Pixar film and marshmallow roast by the bonfire.
The quick walk to Epcot and the boat ride to Hollywood Studios is a great change from riding a bus everyday. Being so close to Epcot means easy access to the fireworks late at night, running back to get a picture with your favorite princess at the World Showcase, and an easy escape to your hotel when the rain starts the come down.
