Visiting Disney World during Christmastime adds extra magic to the air! It also adds the crowds. Avoid these 5 Christmastime mistakes guests commonly make during their holiday season visit.
1. Waiting in Line
Expect Christmastime at Disney World to be busy. Some lines are unavoidable at Disney World. However, many are! Skip the lines at select Quick Service eateries for meals, snack and drinks with Mobile Ordering. Also, skip lines at many attractions, shows and even meet & greets with Fastpass+. Avoid waiting in line to purchase park tickets, by purchasing ahead of time! Do not waste precious park time waiting in line when you do not have to.
2. Not Knowing the Weather
For guests visiting during Christmastime, keep in mind weather when packing. Even though Florida is known as the sunshine state, temps can dip lower than guests expect for November-January. November and December can see evening temps in the low 50’s (on average). Therefore, pack a light sweatshirt for the evening. 3. Missing The Castle Lighting
A Frozen Holiday Wish is a seasonal show at Cinderella’s Castle. See your favorite Disney’s Frozen characters on stage, plus witness Elsa transform Cinderella’s Castle into an ice palace. It is truly a magical sight and not to miss show when visiting during the Holiday season!
4. Not Trying Holiday Treats
Throughout the parks and Disney Springs will be specialty holiday treats. These are limited time and holiday flavors such as gingerbread, eggnog and more! Do not miss out on these seasonal treats when you visit for the holidays.
5. Missing The FREE Holiday Activities outside the parks
The parks at Disney World can become very busy during the holiday season, enjoy some holiday magic outside the parks and without the crowds! This includes:
- The Christmas tree trail at Disney Springs.
- The PhotoPass Studio at Disney Springs, with holiday backgrounds (FREE with Memory Maker).
- Seeing the Resort decor & Gingerbread displays with these 7 Must Visit Disney Resorts During The Christmas Season.
- Meet & Greet with Santa at Disney Springs.
