I love mail! Mail from Walt Disney World is even more magical. Here are 5 things you need to know about mailing letters from Walt Disney World.
Purchase Stamps From Gift Shops – When you select a post card, as the Cast Member if they sell stamps. If they don’t, ask them where the nearest location is that would have stamps in stock. Popular locations that carry stamps are the shops at the Walt Disney World resorts, The Newsstand in the Magic Kingdom, Camera Center in Epcot, Oscar’s Super Service in Hollywood Studios, Garden Gate Gifts in Animal Kingdom and World of Disney in Downtown Disney.
Business Center – Visit Disney’s Contemporary Resort or Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa to find a business center where they will ship packages for guests. Otherwise, the front desk of your resort will take your pre-stamped package only.
Find A Mailbox – Main Street U.S.A. has multiple mailboxes located on posts up and down the street. Located one and mail off your postcard to your loved ones or even yourself back home. You’ll also find mailboxes at other locations throughout the parks and the Cast Members in the lobby at your resort will also be happy to mail your postcards for you.
Have A Character Sign Your Postcard – Instead of just sending a note, have a character autograph the postcard. That will thrill the recipient!
Send Fairy Godmother Mail – If you have friends who will be traveling soon, one thing that is popular among Disney enthusiasts is Fairy Godmother mail. Send a postcard with the Main Street, U.S.A. postmark letting the child know how excited Walt Disney World and Mickey are that they will be visiting soon (even better if you have Mickey Mouse sign the postcard). This is a great way to surprise children with a trip too!
Another great souvenir idea is TinkerBell Gifts.

Kristin, this is why I love your blog!! I never knew this. How neat to get a post card with a special Main Street postmark!! Do they have special Disney stamps too? If not, I might just bring some so I don’t have to track any down. I love this!!
Kristin of Couponing to Disney says
Aww, thanks! They sell stamps at Disney World, but they are not special. :(

I love to send postcards too from Main Street, but I have found that if you put the postcard in an envelope after having it signed, it will arrive much, much faster to the person than a postcard going through the mail system!!!! :)

Tammy, I have noticed the same thing. I try to always put postcards in envelopes.

Should I purchase theme park tickets in advance are they the same price at the park as on line.
Kristin from Couponing to Disney says
They are the same price it’s not necessary to buy them in advance. :)

You may want to get them in advance so you don’t have to wait in line.
Undercover Tourist often has deals or discounts.

You may want to purchase in advance so you can make your fast pass selections before you go. Create a mydisney experience account (website and there is also an app). You can make fast pass selections, book dining reservations and keep track of wait times for the attractions.
