There is one time consuming activity many guests do not account for at Disney World. This time consuming activity being — lines! Now read, 7 Lines You will wait in at Disney World (+ how to avoid them)!
1. Waiting for the BusĀ & other transportation
Encounter lines when heading to your park of choice, via Disney’s complimentary transportation by bus, boat and gondola (Disney Skyliner). One way to avoid standing in line for a bus that is not coming yet is by checking My Disney Experience app for your Disney Resort, it will show when the next bus for your destination is scheduled to arrive!
2. A Line for Bag Check
Before getting into a Disney Park, bag check is a must. Set aside a few extra minutes in your day to stand in this line. The only way to avoid the line for bag check to enter Disney parks is by not having a bag.
3. Line to scan MagicBand/Ticket to enter
Hope for the green light when you reach the top of this line (or get that dreaded blue light and have to wait for verification). After bag check, guests will stand in another line to scan their ticket or MagicBand to enter. Avoid longer lines by looking all the way to the left & right for open stations, as guests tend to gather in the middle lines.
4. Line to Ride Attractions
Guests will wait in line to ride an attraction, sometimes even WITH a Fastpass+ there can be a line. One way to avoid a long time is to utilize Fastpass+ through My Disney Experience App.
5. Wait In Line to Order Food, Snacks & Drink
Stopping for a meal, snack or drink is another line guests can encounter. Ways to avoid these lines are with Advanced Dining Reservations and Mobile Ordering.
6. A Line To Meet Characters
Want to meet your favorite character? Chances are there will be a line for that as well. However, do check to see if Fastpass+ is offered to avoid much of the line.
7. Lines to use the Restroom
I did not find this to be a common problem, except with the first bathroom of each park. To avoid lines at the restrooms (especially women’s), skip the first bathroom you see and find the next one.
